Compact and fully-featured, the HL-L2390DW All-In-One Monochrome Laser Printer from Brother will find itself welcome in both the home or small offices. An all-in-one design makes it a great choice for space-conscious offices as it fits printing, scanning, and copying within a single unit. Also, the printing capabilities are very good with a max resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi and print speeds of up to 32 ppm. The printer can also work with documents up to 8.5 x 14″ in size using the 250-sheet input tray or one-sheet manual feed slot.
Scanning and copying is made possible through the inclusion of an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed. Also, an optical resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi ensures that scans are detailed and sharp. For operation, the HL-L2390DW has a two-line monochrome LCD for checking current status and settings. Additionally, it features Wi-Fi connectivity, alongside standard USB 2.0, for completely wireless operation and support for direct printing from mobile devices.

The initial set up was easy, printing & scanning worked great! Then I had to change my modem – this was a mess. And THEN I updated the software – and now I can’t scan! Thanks, just like every other printer I guess.

I bought this printer to replace an aging HP monochrome laser printer, primarily to get AirPrint for my iPad and our iPhones. The set-up was easy and the functioning so far has been excellent. Since this is in a home office, I imagine it would be considered a “light duty” environment. I do wish that this model had an automatic feeder for scanning and copying. But then, what can I expect for the low end price?

Great printer it’s quick, the only down side is it doesn’t offer color. But it works great for what we need it for.

The printer does a beautiful job of printing black and white prints. The letters are sharp, crisp, easy to read and it is very consistent. The only problem is the stupid sleep mode. It shuts the printer down and it won’t receive files from the computer unless I crawl under the desk and unplug the printer for a while, plug it back in and then it wakes up and will print. That needs to be fixed!
