Compact and fully-featured, the HL-L2390DW All-In-One Monochrome Laser Printer from Brother will find itself welcome in both the home or small offices. An all-in-one design makes it a great choice for space-conscious offices as it fits printing, scanning, and copying within a single unit. Also, the printing capabilities are very good with a max resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi and print speeds of up to 32 ppm. The printer can also work with documents up to 8.5 x 14″ in size using the 250-sheet input tray or one-sheet manual feed slot.
Scanning and copying is made possible through the inclusion of an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed. Also, an optical resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi ensures that scans are detailed and sharp. For operation, the HL-L2390DW has a two-line monochrome LCD for checking current status and settings. Additionally, it features Wi-Fi connectivity, alongside standard USB 2.0, for completely wireless operation and support for direct printing from mobile devices.

I read through printer reviews carefully and this model seemed the best bang for the buck and I wasn’t mistaken. I noticed the reviewers mentioned it was difficult to set up the wireless, and since I was planning to simply plug it directly in to the computer, it was very quick and easy to setup. It works like a charm! When it goes to sleep to conserve energy, and I set up a print job, I have to press the start button twice, and then it wakes up and prints. I have not had an issue where it wouldn’t respond after doing so. The print quality is good, clear. I’ve printed about 350 pages, and only now am I getting the low ink cartridge message. Fortunately I knew this was only a starter cartidge so I bought a full TN-730 cartridge replacement. You can also buy a TN-760 cartridge to use which prints even more pages, but the TN-730 is cheaper and should last a long time. Overall I’m happy with the purchase. It’s a reliable and sturdy printer and it looks nice on our table next to the computer. In my opinion it’s very simple to operate and for the price, a great deal.
