Utilizing four toner cartridges, the printer outputs documents at a maximum resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi. Fast printing speeds of 25 ppm and a 250-sheet input capacity ensure that the printer can keep up with your workflow. This printer is also capable of duplex printing at speeds up to 3 sheets per minute on letter or A4-sized paper. USB and Wi-Fi connectivity allow the printer to adapt to multiple office setups. I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. The print outs look very good. They look more professional. I love the double-sided print option. I also love that it`s a laser printer vs. an inkjet printer. I can immediately highlight documents without smearing the print. I also like the larger capacity paper tray. The startup instructions were clear, but there are a whole lot of options and settings that need a full manual to understand. When I read it was compact I expected something a whole lot smaller. It`s about the size and weight of two cases of wine. It`s longer than it is wider so it didn`t fit well on my bookshelf, the only place I had to put it. It met my expectations. I never had any issues printing over wifi, never jammed, and it just works. I like that I can buy toner colors separately so I don`t have to buy all colors whether I need them or not.

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I received the brother color printer in exchange for my unbiased opinion. The printer works great. Printing is fast and the quality is superb. It is quiet when printing, which I like. Set-up was easy to follow and I am not a tech-type of person and had no trouble setting it up and installing it properly the first time. I was disappointed that it does not have a copier function, which means I need to keep my old printer, just to use as a copier. Keeping both units will take up extra space and I now have to stock two different types of ink/toner.

I purchased this printer for several reasons. 1) Multiple interfaces that included, ethernet, wifi, USB 2) The ability to interface to AirPrint and other protocols 3) The ability to use third-party toner cartridges that go for about half the cost as mfg products. 4) The prices was very good relative to competitive landscape (you got a lot for what you paid). 5) I really go tired of having to get a new printer ever few years when I was unable to clear the print head… another I’ve gone through about 5 IJ printers in the last 7 years… Just a waste of money. I’ve only had it a few weeks but installation was a snap connected via wireless and was up and running after 5 minutes. The prints are very good quality in both color and B&W (default for me). I don’t care about printing photos and relegate that task to a laser printer that is optimized for quality color prints.

good basic functions. manual feed is ok as if the paper is not straight it will of course print crooked. better manual feed mechanism is needed for improvement

If using this copier for an in-home setting, very good, but really not good for a high volume office. Takes quite awhile to do duplicate copies, but the quality of print is very good. Color was a little off compared to the originals online. Did not match.Size of the machine is too big for just making copies. I would assume at this size, a scanner, printer, fax and copies combo would be included.I think this machine would be good for a college student.

Printer works well, and quickly to adapt my projects. I did have some trouble interfacing to printer, I use a Hawking Print Server with a defined ip address. Had some trouble getting it to connect, and still receive some errors, but it appears to print fine.

I had originally gotten this printer because I wasn’t able to get a cheaper one, because there seems to be a big shortage of brother brand printers, possibly in relation to China. However, even though this one cost a lot it’s a really good printer. It doesn’t get tired I can print large documents of 60 for 210 pages and the ink does not start to thin out. It works really well and I haven’t had any problems with it, but then again I’m only a few months the owner. I would be glad to be called and have a follow up review years down the line or one year. I specifically bought it because it does not connect to Wi-Fi, because it does connect to Linux computers, and because it specifically uses a USB cord and nothing more. I was specifically trying to get away from HP and their big brother print approval system from the iPhone app where they have to read your document and keep a copy before they let you print it on their printer, and then they send a Signal over the Internet of things to kill your printer so you’re forced to buy a new one, and you can only buy their ink which is a racket.

Less than 3 months old and probably less than 100 pgs printed and it crapped out with constant paper jams. I’m supposed t be sent a new/refurbished one in 3-5 business days. We’ll see. I’m told there is no qualified repair shop within 150 miles. In the San Antonio area??? Are you kidding me? What kind of BS is that!

This is my 3rd Brother printer and the first color printer. This is by far my favorite. The color is very good and the speed is as fast as either of my black and white printers. The color/black cartridges are lasting longer than I expected. This is great value printer and I highly recommend it to anyone in a home office environment and maybe even a small office networked printer.

When I purchased this printer I wasn’t aware that it did not copy, however, I can live with that. It makes very crisp copies…… when I can get it to stay connected to the pc. I purchased it to replace an older one that quit printing (which isn’t working cause it won’t stay connected).

It was much heavier than I was expecting and seems solid. The initial setup was easy and the instructions explained setup well. This printer worked flawlessly with my PC connected both wireless and using a USB cable. I was satisfied with the print quality and the speed of printing. I would definitely recommend this printer for someone looking for a small office printer.

We were tired of the inkjet printers and the huge costs for ink that dried out before it could all be used. We switched to a laser printer for mainly that reason. We love it. It’s fast, quiet and we no longer have “wet” paper that we have to hope dries without curling. The only thing I would do different would be to purchase a laser printer that can also scan and copy. We opted for the less expensive version that does not do that.
