Simple to connect and offering print, scan, copy, and fax capabilities in a single unit, the MFC-J895DW-series Work Smart All-in-One Inkjet Printer from Brother will fill a variety of critical roles in any home or home office. It offers good speed with 12 ppm printing in black and 10 ppm in color. It also will create detailed photographs and sharp text with a print resolution of 6000 x 1200 dpi. Along with this, automatic duplex and borderless printing are available at print sizes up to 8.5 x 11", though the unit can handle documents as large as 8.5 x 14".
Scanning and faxing are possible due to the integration of a flatbed and 20-sheet ADF that handles your documents and photos. The max optical resolution is 2400 x 1200 dpi for creating vivid, finely detailed images. Also, it has a 2.7" color touchscreen LCD for checking status and adjusting settings. Standard paper handling is possible via the 100-sheet input tray and a bypass feed is available for certain media.
Setting up the MFC-J895DW is simple with options for USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet with NFC connectivity. Users will also be able to connect directly with their mobile devices using Wi-Fi Direct. In addition to this, a USB host port is available for plugging in portable flash drives and there is a vast array of mobile printing support.

I bought this as a work from home printer a few months back, it has been consistently reliable; it prints quickly and relatively quietly. This Brother has been a dream in that I never have to do anything to it. My wife and kids all connected to it seamlessly and it has never lost a print job or gotten stuck in a print spooling error. I had one hiccup about a month ago when it couldn’t be reached from the laptops, but a quick reboot of the router fixed the problem. Other wireless printers I have used at work and home (looking at all of you, HP) required troubleshooting on about one out of three print jobs!

This Brother MFC-J895DW is the best printer I have owned. I like its appearance, size, and weight, and fits nicely on my desk. The wi-fi connectivity to both of my PCs is excellent—no issues with that. Installation and setup was easy to follow and worked perfectly. I use this printer mainly for scanning and printing and have no issues with either of those functions. Photo printing quality may be not quite as good as from some other printers, but for my purposes (business oriented) it is perfectly fine. I have not tried the FAX performance yet, but I suspect it will work just as well as the other functions. Print cartridge ink seems to last reasonably well, and the cartridge cost seems acceptable. Overall, the value I get for this printer for its price is excellent.

Color doesn’t seem to be as vivid as my other printer was. It also uses a lot of ink and I don’t really print that much. Not as user friendly as other printers. Brothers do not carry a high yield replaceable ink cartridge so I am trying a off brand since it uses so much ink.
