Simple to connect and offering print, scan, copy, and fax capabilities in a single unit, the MFC-J895DW-series Work Smart All-in-One Inkjet Printer from Brother will fill a variety of critical roles in any home or home office. It offers good speed with 12 ppm printing in black and 10 ppm in color. It also will create detailed photographs and sharp text with a print resolution of 6000 x 1200 dpi. Along with this, automatic duplex and borderless printing are available at print sizes up to 8.5 x 11", though the unit can handle documents as large as 8.5 x 14".
Scanning and faxing are possible due to the integration of a flatbed and 20-sheet ADF that handles your documents and photos. The max optical resolution is 2400 x 1200 dpi for creating vivid, finely detailed images. Also, it has a 2.7" color touchscreen LCD for checking status and adjusting settings. Standard paper handling is possible via the 100-sheet input tray and a bypass feed is available for certain media.
Setting up the MFC-J895DW is simple with options for USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet with NFC connectivity. Users will also be able to connect directly with their mobile devices using Wi-Fi Direct. In addition to this, a USB host port is available for plugging in portable flash drives and there is a vast array of mobile printing support.

I’ve used numerous printers and this one is by far the easiest, most user friendly, and compatible with my laptop. The only thing I can’t comment on is the ink and how quickly it’s used. The cartridges load easily and without making a mess on the machine or me. It performs even better than I had hoped. I’m very pleased with this printer and hope it lasts a long time.

And I have had a lot of them. Our printers get a lot of use. A lot of use for a residential printer may be an understatement since my wife is a chronic greeting card maker. Our last Brother AIO printer lasted 4 years and we just purchased a new MFC-J895DW. One particular feature I like is that we can be away for a month or so, come in and it prints first time every time.

Intuitive with all the right options. Great print quality. Definitely the perfect replacement for our 15 year old MFC440 that worked fine. It just didn’t fully cooperate with Windows 10. The MFC895’s looks, size and ease of use are not surprising. We hope to get another 15 years out of a Brother printer.

the copy is decent. to say it’s slow is a massive understatement. It’s very loud and clacky while getting ready to print, and then printing. It may be easy for other more tech saavy people to install, but for this 64 year old relatively tech smart retired teacher to install it was like pulling my hair out. It took me HOURS!!!
