Simple to connect and offering print, scan, copy, and fax capabilities in a single unit, the MFC-J895DW-series Work Smart All-in-One Inkjet Printer from Brother will fill a variety of critical roles in any home or home office. It offers good speed with 12 ppm printing in black and 10 ppm in color. It also will create detailed photographs and sharp text with a print resolution of 6000 x 1200 dpi. Along with this, automatic duplex and borderless printing are available at print sizes up to 8.5 x 11", though the unit can handle documents as large as 8.5 x 14".
Scanning and faxing are possible due to the integration of a flatbed and 20-sheet ADF that handles your documents and photos. The max optical resolution is 2400 x 1200 dpi for creating vivid, finely detailed images. Also, it has a 2.7" color touchscreen LCD for checking status and adjusting settings. Standard paper handling is possible via the 100-sheet input tray and a bypass feed is available for certain media.
Setting up the MFC-J895DW is simple with options for USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet with NFC connectivity. Users will also be able to connect directly with their mobile devices using Wi-Fi Direct. In addition to this, a USB host port is available for plugging in portable flash drives and there is a vast array of mobile printing support.

The previous identical printer quit working after 2 months. This one has worked fine. The previous one printed real fast. This one usually prints fast but sometimes it seems to take forever. It’s always slow while making copies. I did accidentally buy thicker paper so perhaps that is why it prints slow.

The printer has all of the bells and whistles. I read the instructions and used the Brother printer accordingly. The product has worked superbly. I have only had the printer a short time, but I am excited about my future use of the product. The product prints clearly and quickly. My favorite feature on the Brother printer is its ability to connect to Wifi and print. You outdid yourself with this product, Brother!

I was looking for a reasonably priced all in one printer and this Brother MFC-J895DW has worked out great so far. Easy to set up so I can print wirelessly from laptop and iPad. The scan feature and copying work fine be as well. The print colors look great. I have only had the printer for a few months and print 50 pages per week but so far it has to worked well Also it is much smaller and lighter than my previous HP officejet pro.

This is my first Brother product. It’s a lightweight compared to my old and very reliable HP 3210 AIO. I am slowly mastering the Brother and loving how the ink is lasting so far! I have been unable to print envelopes even though I have followed the videos to a “t” but I’m hoping to eventually find a way to do that. After a print miscue, I’ve ha to be careful to make sure the ink buffer is empty or it will print a sheet unexpectedly. It’s not as handy when it comes to printing photos of various sizes, but it does an acceptable job with the photos. Overall, I’m pleased with the printer as it was reasonably priced with good features and great ink-life.

The ‘starter’ ink cartridges are still installed and printing. They’ve lasted longer than I thought they would. The printer prints well, I use it for both plain paper printing as well as photo paper printing. One feature I do miss from my Epson is the ability to have two trays loaded at the same time, one for plain paper and the other for 6×4 photo paper.

Bought this printer five weeks ago to replace my old HP printer that finally wore out. I bought this printer because of Consumer Report’s ratings. My old printer had better print quality, especially for photos and was much simpler to use. I particularly don’t like the paper tray as it seem like a “Rube Goldberg” contraption and is very flimsy and difficult to use (compared to my old printer). This printer will not scan items to my computer via the USB cable although a customer service rep said that it should but was unable to help me fix this issue. I was not pleased with Brother’s customer services either when I tried several times to get help setting it up. My impression is this printer was designed for Windows and Android devices and Apple OSX was an afterthought.
