Simple to connect and offering print, scan, copy, and fax capabilities in a single unit, the MFC-J895DW-series Work Smart All-in-One Inkjet Printer from Brother will fill a variety of critical roles in any home or home office. It offers good speed with 12 ppm printing in black and 10 ppm in color. It also will create detailed photographs and sharp text with a print resolution of 6000 x 1200 dpi. Along with this, automatic duplex and borderless printing are available at print sizes up to 8.5 x 11", though the unit can handle documents as large as 8.5 x 14".
Scanning and faxing are possible due to the integration of a flatbed and 20-sheet ADF that handles your documents and photos. The max optical resolution is 2400 x 1200 dpi for creating vivid, finely detailed images. Also, it has a 2.7" color touchscreen LCD for checking status and adjusting settings. Standard paper handling is possible via the 100-sheet input tray and a bypass feed is available for certain media.
Setting up the MFC-J895DW is simple with options for USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet with NFC connectivity. Users will also be able to connect directly with their mobile devices using Wi-Fi Direct. In addition to this, a USB host port is available for plugging in portable flash drives and there is a vast array of mobile printing support.

I bought this printer after my other one (another brand) quit working. Best buy I ever made.

I love this printer! I previously had an HP printer and an Epson printer. This one outdoes them both! Set up was extremely easy. Software and firmware update automatically. The Brother website is extremely easy to use when help is needed. Printing is fast and clean.

Better than previous unit, HP. Great being able to print from our IPADs and cell phones.

This is the third Brother all-in-one printer I’ve owned. Performs all of the functions of the previous printers, but is more compact. I like its autonomous cleaning feature that keeps it ready to print the high quality photos it’s capable of printing. Printer comes with the latest version of Nuance PaperPort scanning software. The Brother software includes a handy shortcut scanning option. Several weeks ago when I tried to print something, I got a paper jam error message. When I pulled the tray out, found that hundreds of tawny crazy ants had built a nest in the printer. Thought it was ruined, but once I cleaned it out, it operated just fine. I really like this machine.

Not happy with another brand printer I had, I did some research and decided to purchase a Brother MFC-J895DW as a replacement. The Brother printer has worked great and given us no issues. Setup was easy, including adding it to our wireless network, so that it could be accessed by multiple devices. Printing has been clear in both black and white, as well as color. Changing cartridges is simple and they are reasonably priced. Overall, we are very happy with the performance of the MFC-J895DW and certainly recommend it.

I like it because it’s so strong. I have a bunch of electronic test equipment on top of it, and since I dont copy, it supports all that weight no problem.

I wanted to like this printer, but quite honestly it was too much of a hassle. I do think it would have been a decent printer, if I could have made it work. It all started because Brother shipped 4 ink cartridges 1 black, 1 cyan and 2 yellows. Right off the bat I couldn’t run the printer because the magenta cartridge was missing, and the onboard software wouldn’t let me bypass the setup with only running black. Because B&H was closed for 10 days, I had to order a magenta ink cartridge through Amazon… except you can’t seem to order these color cartridges individually right now. So I had to order the CMY set. No problem, except the only set I could find was the extra large ink set LC30133Pack. Ok fine. More ink is never a bad thing, until it is… So Amazon delivered the ink a few days later. I installed the Magenta XL cartridge, and the onboard software said I needed to install a regular sized magenta cartridge first in order to finish the setup. Are you kidding me? I was over it at that point. I went with another brand printer through a different company instead of waiting another week for B&H to open again.

I replaced a much older Brother printer and this one is much faster and was eszier to connect to my WiFi. The print quality is about the same as my old printer.

Purchased to use in addition to my Brother 2270DW laser printer. Have used most of the features it offers and am satisfied. The fax report including a partial image of the actual fax is very nice. I’ve used it in normal and quiet mode and don’t find either overly noisy. So far, so good and I haven’t found anything not to like with this printer. This printer adds to two other Brother printers I use as well as an older Brother fax machine. Over time, it’s been good for me moving to Brother equipment over other brands (some better than others) I’ve used over the years.

I like the way this prints but every time we try to use it we have to turn the printer off and the back on to be able to connect to the printer from our phones and iPads. I would give it 5 stars if I didn’t have to get up every time because I have bad knees and it makes them hurt to have to get up so many times.

I bought this printer after reading the consumer reports reviews of overall best printers and this one does not disappoint. It does everything I need it too with efficiency and ease. I highly recommend, thanks!

This printer does a great job as a home printer with some business use. If doing high volume printer then you need something with a little more horsepower. That said with the limited printing I do it is great.

I read many reviews on this printer and other printers and the Brother MFC-J895DW seemed to be the one that I needed for my home office and personal use. I had an HP and I was so ready to ditch it ! This particular printer was out of stock for so long or if I found one, I couldn’t afford it so I kept waiting and waiting and finally ! The printer I wanted with a price in my range. I have had no problems what so ever and I am so glad I held out for this one.

So much faster than my J430. Easy to set up & I love the USB connection option. Copying, printing, image & OCR scanning all work beautifully.Only hitch so far, book pages have to be OCR scanned 1 at a time. Text of full 2-page spread (which the J430 did easily) becomes intermingled. But the scanning is so fast it’s not that big a hitch.
