Simple to connect and offering print, scan, copy, and fax capabilities in a single unit, the MFC-J895DW-series Work Smart All-in-One Inkjet Printer from Brother will fill a variety of critical roles in any home or home office. It offers good speed with 12 ppm printing in black and 10 ppm in color. It also will create detailed photographs and sharp text with a print resolution of 6000 x 1200 dpi. Along with this, automatic duplex and borderless printing are available at print sizes up to 8.5 x 11", though the unit can handle documents as large as 8.5 x 14".
Scanning and faxing are possible due to the integration of a flatbed and 20-sheet ADF that handles your documents and photos. The max optical resolution is 2400 x 1200 dpi for creating vivid, finely detailed images. Also, it has a 2.7" color touchscreen LCD for checking status and adjusting settings. Standard paper handling is possible via the 100-sheet input tray and a bypass feed is available for certain media.
Setting up the MFC-J895DW is simple with options for USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet with NFC connectivity. Users will also be able to connect directly with their mobile devices using Wi-Fi Direct. In addition to this, a USB host port is available for plugging in portable flash drives and there is a vast array of mobile printing support.

This is my first Brother printer after having HP and Epson in the past. The main consumers magazine gave it good ratings and much better than the other two so I decided to purchase with a good deal at OfficeDepot. Everything works the way it is supposed to and it has all the features I need for home/office use. While it’s paper tray capacity could be larger I don’t find that to be a significant negative. I have no connectivity issues including seamless Air Print. I’m not trying to print photos so I can’t comment on that. Setup was very quick and much simpler than my HP OfficeJet. So far, so good.

Well this is another printer I have had to buy because the other brands of color printer did not last more than two years. This is not so much of a review on Brother printers in general. I have used Brother Laser Printers without any problems for many years and have been very pleased with their quality. As I require a copier, scanner and color printer I picked this model. Now I only have had it for a week but it functions perfectly. The only function I find a bit lacking is the color PHOTO printing. Since this model only has four cartridges, the color rendering is not as nice as a printer with six or seven cartridges. In the past experiences I have had with Brother printers have all been very good.

I have not had any problems with my printer so far. I’ve printed a number of small documents and used the scanner several times with no,issues. When using the feeder you do have to make sure the input paper is fully engaged. And, I wish it was a little easier to add fresh paper. But, these are really small issues. Overall I am happy with this printer and would purchase it again. Set up and connection was easy.
