Simple to connect and offering print, scan, copy, and fax capabilities in a single unit, the MFC-J895DW-series Work Smart All-in-One Inkjet Printer from Brother will fill a variety of critical roles in any home or home office. It offers good speed with 12 ppm printing in black and 10 ppm in color. It also will create detailed photographs and sharp text with a print resolution of 6000 x 1200 dpi. Along with this, automatic duplex and borderless printing are available at print sizes up to 8.5 x 11", though the unit can handle documents as large as 8.5 x 14".
Scanning and faxing are possible due to the integration of a flatbed and 20-sheet ADF that handles your documents and photos. The max optical resolution is 2400 x 1200 dpi for creating vivid, finely detailed images. Also, it has a 2.7" color touchscreen LCD for checking status and adjusting settings. Standard paper handling is possible via the 100-sheet input tray and a bypass feed is available for certain media.
Setting up the MFC-J895DW is simple with options for USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet with NFC connectivity. Users will also be able to connect directly with their mobile devices using Wi-Fi Direct. In addition to this, a USB host port is available for plugging in portable flash drives and there is a vast array of mobile printing support.

I am enjoying my All In One printer with only a few exceptions: 1) the paper tray is not easy to pull out 2) the paper slides all the way back since there is no guard. 3) dealing with paper jams is not an easy task with the internal green tabs to manipulate. 4) the printer heads require frequent cleaning I do enjoy the speed at which I am able to make copies. Maybe I can add more as I learn and utilize other features.

I like to give this printer a good review, but I can’t. There is some sort of software issue going on and it doesn’t talk to Windows very well. Sometimes it prints, sometimes it doesn’t. It’s unreliable in that manner.

This multi function machine can do everything we need it for and do it well. Two minor items I wish it had; 1. That the monitor was a bit larger, with larger print (for older eyes), and a tilt screen feature. 2. That after sending a fax, a send report would be automatically offered to select & print out, however It does have report print-outs available as a manual selection. The overall quality, function and clarity are all quite good, so we are pleased with this machine.

Easy setup, works perfectly with my two laptops. Brother ink refills are way more reasonably priced for home use than some other brands.

For the time that I’ve had it (2 months); it has been quite productive. It ques up and prints quickly (something I particularly appreciate). The print quality and speed is good, as was my previous Brother. Not sure how it does on ink, I haven’t had to refill. I have had the opportunity to Fax and Scan, excellent results. This was not my first Brother purchase and it probably won’t be the last All, in all, satisfied and would recommend to a friend.

This printer fulfills all my needs. I especially like the feature of being able to print on heavy gauge paper through the slot on the rear. I routinely make projects using various weight paper, which are impossible to do on other printers. I also like the fact that the printer is small and compact as opposed to newer printers with refillable tanks that occupy too much desk space.
