With enough ink to print for up to one year included in the box, this MFC-J995DW All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Brother is ready to satisfy your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs for the home or office. With print resolutions up to 6000 x 1200 dpi, documents and graphics are crisp and clear on pages as large as 8.5 x 14″. Copying and scanning is possible via the flatbed CIS scanner. The unit also has faxing capabilities that can store 180 pages in its memory and transfer files at speeds of 14.4 kb/s. Additionally, the printer lets you wirelessly print from a desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet via NFC and Wi-Fi.

Lots of bugs in setup sw. For example printer and laptop need to be connected to same wireless lan to work. Would not work using ethernet cable or seperate wireless lan.

The Wi-Fi connectivity and functionality of this printer are basically crippling. Yes it will set up and connect, but as soon as the printer goes to sleep its game over. You have to reinstall the software every day to get it to work! Don’t buy this if you need the Wi-Fi connection to make it work. Otherwise, if you can connect with an ethernet cable it is a functional unit.

No problems with any of the features I have used it for thus far. Primary use is for printing, copying and scanning documents. Have not used any of the fax features as of yet. When selecting a machine for such use, I took a careful look at build integrity and quality of material used. This model cost a bit more but had much better quality than comparable models from other manufacturers. Also the efficiency of the ink cartridge was a big plus. I am a returning college student that prints a lot of school related material. I have had no problems at all.

This brothers printer is one quality printer that does everything you need to do for your daily activity. You can used it for home or in the office. The brothers printer is easy to used even for your kids to have then do there homework. Brothers is staying on top of there technology and keeping with the competition. It`s not a bulky printer and it fits anywhere that there is space.

Not difficult to use, but paper tray is a little cumbersome. Do like the feature for loading photo 4 by 6’s in that sides move in together to define the photo paper feed location perfectly.

Just like any other printer, once you learn it quirks it nicely does its job. I especially like the larger ink capacity, compared to my previous printer’s ink cartridges, that I hope will ultimately save me money. Two minor gripes: have to jump back and forth between the Control Center4 and iPrint and Scan software to do photo printing, scanning, or faxing. You definitely want to make sure you load all the software when you install the printer. The final gripe, you should be able to do faxing and scanning functions from the function screen on the printer instead of having to open up the iPrint or Control Center4 software.
