With enough ink to print for up to one year included in the box, this MFC-J995DW All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Brother is ready to satisfy your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs for the home or office. With print resolutions up to 6000 x 1200 dpi, documents and graphics are crisp and clear on pages as large as 8.5 x 14″. Copying and scanning is possible via the flatbed CIS scanner. The unit also has faxing capabilities that can store 180 pages in its memory and transfer files at speeds of 14.4 kb/s. Additionally, the printer lets you wirelessly print from a desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet via NFC and Wi-Fi.

I’ve never had a printer other than a Brother MFC. They have always been dependable, weren’t over priced and Ink was never that expensive. The Brother MFC Printer I had before this lasted 15 years and would still be in use today if one of the inkjets hadn’t clogged up and I couldn’t get it cleaned out. These are dependable printers and I’ll never have another brand. My only issue with this one is that the FAX won’t work apparently without a landline.

Easy set up – be sure to download all the utilities especially if you need printer conversion to other formats, like PDF or JPEG. Prints faster than I expected and qualilty is great. I love this printer, it does everything you could possibly need. I worked for a major IT printer manufacture and 12 years ago I purchased a Brother Printer because I was on a budget. That printer lasted 12 years and would do everything I needed for printing services. Well after shopping around and actually purchasing another brand I had to return it because it worked 1 time. I purchased this brother printer after seeking Brother customer service help to find a model that would do all I needed. Quick response from Brother and my puchase was headache free.

The biggest problem I have with this printer is I can’t make greeting cards as the heavier card paper gets jammed repeatedly. I didn’t have this problem with past printers and I’m very disappointed as I use to make all my cards. It’s also noisy but you get used to it. Otherwise it is a good printer.

While I’ve only had it a short time, I have had no problems other than trying to use it as a direct wired (usb) printer as well as an AirPrint printer. It I turn on the wireless AirPrint feature, it disconnects the usb connection. The main reason I bought this printer was to have a direct connection to my computer (a Mac) as I have had wireless connection problems with another Brother printer that I own which is 20 feet from the computer.

The set up of wi-fi was simple and convenient and it works well with my iphone and ipad and laptop. So far it is flawless on its functions include two-sided copying and color match on documents. This replaced anothe brand which had served me well for too short a time frame.

Setup was a breeze, everything worked the first time I tried it, print, scan, print direct from phone, print direct from google, different types of paper, ECT…. Off course the big test is how long ink will last with intermetent printing but so far I am loving it.
