With enough ink to print for up to one year included in the box, this MFC-J995DW All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Brother is ready to satisfy your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs for the home or office. With print resolutions up to 6000 x 1200 dpi, documents and graphics are crisp and clear on pages as large as 8.5 x 14″. Copying and scanning is possible via the flatbed CIS scanner. The unit also has faxing capabilities that can store 180 pages in its memory and transfer files at speeds of 14.4 kb/s. Additionally, the printer lets you wirelessly print from a desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet via NFC and Wi-Fi.

I used the printer for a little over a year and it just stopped working. It gave me an alert that there a=was a blockage, which it wasnt and I could never get it to work after. I paid for someone to try to help fix online and got no where. I can not find a place to have it fixed. Product for cost should have worked longet than a year. As soon as I changed ink, it died.

I have only one complaint – that it does NOT have “Half-letter” (5-1/2″W x 8-1/2″H) as a standard paper size. It is a very common size in the USA, & one I use for a significant percentage of printing, for address book, appointment book (think DayTimer & other schedulers). I am stuck with using strange margins and then using a paper trimmer to get what I need. To be marketed in the USA, where “half-letter” is common is a major oversight. I have tried numerous times to create a new page size for the printer, but that simply does not work.

Color printing is disappointing. All advertisements indicate colors like real. I didn’t expect real, but the color printing appears to be washed out. I’ve adjusted properties to enhance color, that doesn’t make a difference. FYI – I contacted customer service, once I got through to a representative, she was fantastic! I should have asked her about the color printing – I called for a different reason.

Purchased after great experience with the J985. Works great, and as with other Brother printers my favorite point is how long the ink lasts. Only minor shortcoming is the paper tray doesn’t hold a lot, so great for home use but not for high volume printing.

I had an older brother all-in-one that stopped working. I liked it a lot and decided to get this newer model. I love it, it printed photos great right out of the box, the old one I had to mess with settings for 30 minutes to get the colors dialed in. I love this printer all around perfect for home or small office use.

Purchased in 1Q 2019 to replace 10 year old Epson. The Brother hardware installation was easy, software, no so easy – had to install several times on Apple Macbook Pro to get all the features to work. Operation seems pretty good – wireless printing works well, scanning has a few kinks but is workable. Print quality on par, nothing great but nothing bad either. Time will tell if it is a good printer or not. Since it came with 1 years worth of ink we have not had to buy any yet. Like all printers there isn’t any gauge as to what your “actual mileage” is. If the printer turns out to be an ink hog my overall rating will go down.

Printer seems to be working well so far. The back page on two sided copies or scans is a bit skewed and not aligned well with the front page. The instructions; quick setup, and online users guide were cumbersome and inaccurate.
