Scan program is clumsy the phone app is flawed and the ADF could be better. Printing photos is good, would like to see a dedicated photo paper tray. Footprint is good I had a large Canon MX922 and had to get a smaller printer. overall it is a functional printer and does what I need it to do

We have had the printer for a few months and it works well.
Cordia Nolan (verified owner) –
I don’t use it all that much but I like the size, was easy to set up and very easy to use so I’m very pleased.

I have used Brother printer/fax MFC machines for all my printing needs sense I began my computing life. I have greatly appreciated the function and ease of using each printer from Brother. This is my 3rd Brother MFC machine and my only regret is they do not last forever. You have to update now and then.

I have had a Brother printer for over 20 years but in June it died. I bought the J995DW. I felt lucky to find one due to shortages. It is not disappointed me yet! Great job, easy to use!

I have had no issues or problems with the printer – now I have 2. I enjoy the wireless option.

I’ve had HP’s for years and will never go back. Brothers ink consumption / annual usage is so much less / cheaper. It’s wonderful to find a company that isn’t stealing from you on the back end.

Works very well, quiet and fast. Love the huge ink capacity.

So far I really love this all in one printer. It is economical with its ink tanks and double sided printing. Intuitive software and features ergonomical footprint. Love being able to print form my mobile devices either over the Wi-Fi or NFC. It has great quality pictures and photos and I like the rear loading port for envelopes or 4×6 photos as well as the ability to copy, scan and Fax from home!

I have been using this printer for 2 months and (knock-wood) have not had any problems. I I have been using the printer for 2 months. It was very easy to set up and connect to wifi, and use it in a home office, printing maybe 5-10 sheets daily. It’s still on the ink that came with the printer. Once you hit the print button, it’s 10 seconds, and printing starts, unlike my HP which took a while. I think it’s a little noisy. The scan function which is used a lot is easy to use.

We plugged it into the power strip, connected to the wifi and it works immediately. Really satisfied with it

This printer is great for the price. The printing is fast and very clear. I bought it to replace my old HP 845 printer because the black ink cartridges had become absurdly expensive. The tank cartridges for my new Brother printer are fairly priced and carry a whole lot of ink. I have learned to check the price of ink cartridges before deciding which model of printer to buy. The Brother printers beat all of the competition. The only thing that I do not like about the printer is that the envelope slot is on the back side of the printer, which makes it unusable for me with the back side of the printer on a shelf against a wall.

There many things to like about this all in one printer. It has an attractive design and a smaller footprint than the printer I am replacing it with. The only negative remark is that it does not function on both 5 MHz and 2.4 MHz Wi-Fi frequencies. This requires me to switch some devices to 2.4 MHz in order to operate the printer.

Replaced another multi-purpose printer for light office use / family abuse… ‘ keen to see if the ink for a year feature lives up to the promise. I like the idea of not having to buy ink and store it – especially when some manufactures put a date stamp on the cartridge so that it won’t work after a certain date!
Mozell Grimes (verified owner) –
I would like the paper tray to hold more and the upper paper holder to scan differently.
Jessica Nolan (verified owner) –
haven’t used it for anything except black and white printing and some scanning but very quick response time and so far so good
Ned Maggio (verified owner) –
Printer is good for the most part. The only problem I have is the paper tray is too small. I am constantly adding paper. This is irritating. The ability to have ink for a long time was the one feature I ordered this machine for.
Shaniya Ryan (verified owner) –
The easy set-up for wireless network via “Set Up Wizard” was most important for me as I’m no techie. All features perform great and love that I won’t have to replenish ink for a long time. Also like that its has smaller size and weight than many.

the setup was straightforward, it prints and scans. One note to setting up your wifi, this like all printers needs to be on your same home network that is used by your computer that is connecting to the printer: if you have more than one router that you connect to be sure that all your devices connect to the same wifi/router or it will not work.

This printer is the best by far I have had.. Compact for small spaces. Easy set up. Quality of prints is good. I like the tankless feature so ink doesn’t dry up if left for periods of time. Did research on product before purchasing & I am very happy price was worth it compared to what I paid for last printer.
