With enough ink to print for up to one year included in the box, this MFC-J995DW All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Brother is ready to satisfy your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs for the home or office. With print resolutions up to 6000 x 1200 dpi, documents and graphics are crisp and clear on pages as large as 8.5 x 14″. Copying and scanning is possible via the flatbed CIS scanner. The unit also has faxing capabilities that can store 180 pages in its memory and transfer files at speeds of 14.4 kb/s. Additionally, the printer lets you wirelessly print from a desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet via NFC and Wi-Fi.

This multifunction printer has a lot going for it. Large ink supply, good scan app, double sided printing, fast copying and decent quality printing except for pictures. Excellent warrantee. Quality is questionable. Mine failed in less than two years with frequent paper jams. Luckily it was still under warrantee and was replaced by Brother. I hope that the replacement will have a more reasonable life.

After a lifetime of HP products, this device is a breath of fresh air. It never jams, but that isn’t what really endears it… and that is the entirely different design philosophy evident in how it prints. Other printers retail for a low price, then kill you on consumable supplies, but Brother charges somewhat more for the device, then give you great gas mileage on the consumables, which end up costing much less when you get a refill. Count me a new fan of Brother stuff.

Easy connectivity, goes to sleep without snoring so it’s ready to wake up and print anytime. Print quality is very fine and it’s speedy too. It can print on both sides of the paper – a big weight and $ save for longer documents. What’s not to like?

The only issue I have is it seems like the tray that holds the paper feels like a really cheap hunk of plastic! It functions fine but it just has a quality of feeling fragile I don’t know how you would ever correct that

The printer was fairly easy to hook up. It does have a peculiar soft “roar” when it prints. The sound is pretty strange since we live in the mountains with a lot of wildlife so in the beginning I kept thinking it was something just outside my office window I needed to be aware of, LOL.
