With enough ink to print for up to one year included in the box, this MFC-J995DW All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Brother is ready to satisfy your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs for the home or office. With print resolutions up to 6000 x 1200 dpi, documents and graphics are crisp and clear on pages as large as 8.5 x 14″. Copying and scanning is possible via the flatbed CIS scanner. The unit also has faxing capabilities that can store 180 pages in its memory and transfer files at speeds of 14.4 kb/s. Additionally, the printer lets you wirelessly print from a desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet via NFC and Wi-Fi.

This printer is adequate at best. Because we do not print very often it serves it’s purpose at a minimal level. If you have a lot of printing to do look elsewhere. Colors are flat. If it has been inactive for a day or so it shows as ‘offline’ on the network and must be restarted.

The setup was fairly easy and so far it prints nicely. Airprint worked from the start but quit working about a week ago. After a few technical gymnastics and a couple of hard restarts on my iPad it came up again. “So far so good” I wouldn’t take this one back. Have not had a chance to try the other features yet.

Love the printer – does double sided, easy to use. I have a MAC and needed soemthing with Airprint. The only issue is that I have connected via WiFi and it is not consistent in connecting to rpint or scan. Sometimes I have to shut off and then turn on and it connects. I did download the Iprint app on my Mac and since then it has been more consistent.

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. My last printer was 15 plus years old with very expensive ink and did not scan or copy. Everything, including a USB cord and ink is in the box. I used their provided quick setup guide and was printing wirelessly in no time. I wanted to really rest it out so I printed a ton of handwriting and coloring sheets for my children. It went relatively fast and there were no jams. So far so good! Im really looking forward to not buying ink for 2 years. Good deal!

Printer will not print black and white if the color cartridges run low. Minor expense but major inconvenience. Overall ink system is inefficient and outdated.

It is easy to print from computer and I love being able to print from phone. I chose this inkjet all in one because replacing the ink was more economical than a laser printer.

I had trouble loading the driver onto my computer. luckily I had Geek Squad do it for me. They said they had to get an update from the web. to comoplete the installation. Very flustrating to insert a brand new driver from the disc that came with the unit and it not work because it wasn’t up to date.
