With enough ink to print for up to one year included in the box, this MFC-J995DW All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Brother is ready to satisfy your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs for the home or office. With print resolutions up to 6000 x 1200 dpi, documents and graphics are crisp and clear on pages as large as 8.5 x 14″. Copying and scanning is possible via the flatbed CIS scanner. The unit also has faxing capabilities that can store 180 pages in its memory and transfer files at speeds of 14.4 kb/s. Additionally, the printer lets you wirelessly print from a desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet via NFC and Wi-Fi.

This printer is perfect for home use. The iPrint and Scan app has made life much easier. If you have a document that needs to be scanned you can have it scanned directly to your phone…no need to even turn on your PC. Printing documents from your phone is a breeze as well. The print quality is very high quality. I would highly recommend this product to the home or small business user.

I have had no problems at all with the printer. One paper jam, easily fixed although I don’t quite understand the mechanism for releasing if it should (and of course it will) happen again. My only concern is that the paper feed mechanism seems flimsy: takes a bit of awkwardness to open, like a jerking motion to open to add paper and I am concerned it will not last. Also, I never rate any product like this 5 stars until I have used it for a considerable length of time.

I’m being very honest. This is the most expensive printer I’ve ever bought and it’s the worst. It will not print two sided without jamming every time. Our IT guy has tried everything to remedy this. He is the one that told us to buy a Brother because of his experience. He’s never seen one with this many complications. We would like to have a replacement please. It is critical that we have a well operating printer. Thank you.

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I received this printer a couple weeks ago for my home office. Taking it out of the box was easy. Included in the box were the Quick Setup Guide instructions, the product safety guide, a cd for installation of software to a computer, warranty, registration, a reference guide, the printer, ink, and power cord as well as an telephone line cord. To set up the printer, the only things I used were the printer, ink, power cord, and the Quick Setup Guide instructions. The instructions were not very detailed, but I did not have any trouble getting it set up. I did not connect the telephone line during the setup and have not used the fax component of the machine. I did use my iPhone and iPad along with the Brother iPrint&Scan to print over WiFi and it has been extremely easy. Compared to printers I have used in the fast, so far it has worked very well. It is a little bulky in size as I have seen other multi function printers that are much more compact and take up less space on my desk. One plus is that it easily connected to the internet and it stays connected without having to reboot anything. It is a little noisier than the last printer I had. One thing that frustrates me is that you have to lift the output paper tray to lo load more paper. It`s not a simple slide out and open either; the entire paper tray comes out and then you have to reinsert it and I`m never sure if I put it back right, although I have not experienced any problems so far. The print quality is average. I haven`t tried to print any high quality photos, but I would not think this machine would be great for that. It seems to be a great at home/home office printer to print basic documents. Pros: setup was simple, easily connect and print over WiFi Cons: bulky, loud, paper tray ease of use

My only gripe is that when I want to use the printer, I often find it “offline.” Sometimes it will come back online by itself, sometimes I need to turn it off and back on to reconnect. Your utilities tell me I’m properly connected. Does the WIFI connection lapse over time? I use the printer infrequently. Any help would be appreciated.
