With enough ink to print for up to one year included in the box, this MFC-J995DW All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Brother is ready to satisfy your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs for the home or office. With print resolutions up to 6000 x 1200 dpi, documents and graphics are crisp and clear on pages as large as 8.5 x 14″. Copying and scanning is possible via the flatbed CIS scanner. The unit also has faxing capabilities that can store 180 pages in its memory and transfer files at speeds of 14.4 kb/s. Additionally, the printer lets you wirelessly print from a desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet via NFC and Wi-Fi.

I have owned several brands of inkjet printers in the past, but this is the first Brother I have owned and I will say it has been the BEST inkjet of them all. My reasons for this are not so much the print quality or speed, which are decent, but for the fact that it’s been the only wifi printer I have owned that actually stays connected and is ALWAYS available when I go to print. Also, I like the duplex printing feature and also the fact that I probably won’t have to buy ink for at least another year!! Would highly recommend this printer.

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I was very satisfied with the printer speed with documents however color prints were mediocre. Not the best quality so should not expect photo-quality images. The printer included ink for up to 2 years which is definitely an plus. The design was compact but the display on the touchscreen looked outdated. Worked straight out of box and the set-up for the wifi was simple and straightforward.

Printer is two months old and I could not be more pleased. Only comment is that the instructions to activate the PaperPort and PDF Viewer scanning software are a little weak. Easy to use once I got them loaded.

We like all the things the printer does. We use the settings that allow you to print two sided, print black and white or color, and printing from our phones. It is much faster than our old printer too.

First Brother printer i have owned and it is by far the best printer i have ever had, the speed of this printer is remarkable. This printer is done printing before my HP would be done cleaning the print heads. Photo prints are actually superior quality to the hp photo smart printers. The ink cartridges have a huge amount of ink and this printer stays connected never i mean never drops WIFI connection. I would recommend this printer.

This printer was super-easy to set up on my WiFi network and get working. I’m very happy with the footprint and love that it also has a scanner/feeder. The quality of the print is not as sharp as it could be, but works for at home use for the basic recipe printing off the internet and various financial forms or email we use it for. We have had the printer almost three months and ink is lasting well. My only complaint is that if I print something from my iPhone, the printer produces output that is overly large – I would like to be able to compress the size of the print so that what should print easily on an 8.5 x 11 paper doesn’t take two or three pages.

Initial prints were fine, but once I replaced the original cartridges with new cartridges (and they were genuine brother cartridges, which are expensive), cyan and yellow stopped printing, and magenta had black streaks. In doing all the tests and head cleaning to try to fix, including talking to brother and running purge cycles, I used all the ink and it the problem wasn’t fixed. It only printed black and magenta. So $65 dollars worth of ink burnt through – for nothing. So when I really need color printing, I guess I’ll just go to a print shop. This was a huge waste of money

Overall this printer has worked well. Easy set up, software set up went smoothly. Scanning, double sided scanning. Print is clean and crisp, buttons worked perfectly. Was immediately recognized by Chromebook and added as a printer. Only weakness I ran into was setting up the auto refill program. The auto fill program which has to be set up through your phone app just failed. I tried to set up through the internet and was redirected back to the app. My concern became the stability of the app either signing up (which was failing) or if successful, being unable to cancel. Otherwise this was a good printer out if the box.
