I always buy Brother printers. Good quality and they last. This was easy to set up and wireless works very well. Had it now a couple of months and my wife and I use it daily. My only small complaint is it is a little noisy, but I guess all printers are.

Product was as advertised. Easy to set up and use. Features of scanning and copying work great along with the printing. Pricing is very reasonable. Recommend product.

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I have been using the Brothers printer for a week now and so far it has been a good experience. I downloaded the Brothers app to even try printing from my phone and the quality is just as good as if I was printing from my computer. The instructions for installing and setting up the printer were very easy to understand. The printer has fax, scan, and copy capabilities and after trying all of the different features its an all in one printer I would recommend to others.
Rodolfo Kertzmann (verified owner) –
Easy to setup, great quality, good value in this product.
Sydni Krajcik (verified owner) –
Have had this printer for about 3 months and absolutely love it. Easy to integrate with my home network and very simple to use all the features. Brother has been my printer of choice for many years.
Julio Torphy (verified owner) –
The printer does just what I want it to do. Print, copy, and in a timely manner. Does not use a lot of ink. Very happy so far.
Michale Sawayn (verified owner) –
My printer is so user friendly. I am NOT a techy person and I had no trouble navigating the touch screen panel for anything I needed. So easy to change the ink. My favorite printer I have ever owned.
Christina Gottlieb (verified owner) –
I found it very reliable and excellent product and most of all I love its quick and easy print online connectivity.

In the old days, multi purpose machines didn’t do anything very well. This Brother machine does EVERYTHING very well and the Scanning is something special. My printing is fast and scalable. The fax is intuitive to set up and again does very well. The multisheet feeded for the fax has never jammed to date. I like this machine
Idella Jaskolski (verified owner) –
Easy to install and very fast printing. I love the scanning feature, being able to scan multiple copies.

I’ve had the machine several months now, am not a daily user but I do use it fairly often. It has paper jammed twice and was easy to fix. My biggest concern thus far with this machine is how delicate it seems. In today’s world so many things are made of plastic and this one is no different, however parts of it are very thin and delicate and you really have to use caution and care when handling it.

If you plan only to print–and do little else–this is a very competent device. Speed and clarity of text printing is good (I haven’t printed pictures, so I can’t evaluate that). And setup was pretty straightforward for printing. BUT–this is a multi-function device, and you’ve paid for a multi-function device, so all of the functions should work equally as well. They do not. 1. Copying: copies of text are quite good. However, it is literally decades since I’ve had a printer that produces copies in reverse order. If you frequently want to put more than 2-3 pages into the document feeder, you’ll find it really irritating to re-sort and put the copies in order before stapling–and really annoying if you forget to do so before stapling. Also, I don’t know the last time I’ve had a printer at home or at work that requires the pages to be placed face down rather than up. I guess eventually I’ll get used to this but in the meantime (two months in), I keep messing up from force of long habit. 2. Fax: Yes it faxes, but there’s no automatic way to know that it’s done so! No message on the screen that the fax has been sent successfully, no automatic printing of a fax report, AND no way to set the machine to do these things. Each time you’ve tried to fax, you’ll need to hit several buttons to reach the print fax-report button. Which means that you have to go through that process each time just to find out that someone’s fax didn’t pick up, or that their line was out of order or…. That’s absurd. This is bad enough that I’m actually thinking of getting rid of the machine and buying an HP again. 3. Scan: I found it very tricky to find the setup that would allow me to use the machine’s touchpad to initiate scans. And no matter what, it refuses to produce my scans as PDFs, only as JPGs that I then have to convert to PDF. Scan to OCR? Forget it. That’s after following the instructions in the manual, searching the Brother site for further instructions and following them to a T. Nothing doing. All in all–I started out writing this review having given the machine 3 stars, but as I wrote, I realized that the only thing I’m satisfied with is printing, and that what I’ve written is a 2-star report. So that’s what I’ve wound up giving it. If you rarely fax or scan or copy multi-page documents, you’ll be happy with the printer.

My Brother J995W was easy to set up and works consistently, giving high quality. My one complaint is that it replaced a 650-series Brother and the Scan functions…default to the older model that is no longer in use, wasting a lot of time when I forget to re-set it every time to to the new model. I had to abandon the old one because it started putting a streak down the page of every scan. Brother should provide a way to remove the setting that defaults to the old model.

Love the long lasting ink. Print quality is excellent. Printer ha all the necessary features (like duplex) at a reasonable price. So far, so good!
Myrtle Wilderman (verified owner) –
This printer, scanner, copier was extremely easy to get working wirelessly with my Mac computer. It took a little more effort to get it to work with my Windows machine, but I attribute that to the computer and not the Brother printer. I’ve had it for about 6 weeks and the print and scan capabilities are excellent.
Lindsay King (verified owner) –
I’ve always purchased Brother printers! My previous one lasted 12 years! This was super simple to set up….great instructions. Works beautifully!
Polly Wolff (verified owner) –
Could not be happier! Purchased this on advise of family member and never regretted it. Easy, simple, quiet, cost effective, space saving..what more could you ask for? Love It !! Best printer/scanner I’ve ever had.

Assistance I received to set up my new Brother J995DW connecting w/land line, notebook thru my new WiFi Router was over & above any assistance I have received – even w/COVID!
Olen Ledner (verified owner) –
This printer is new to me and so far it works well. However, there are other features I would like to use and haven’t figured out exactly how. It could be a bit more user friendly for people not tech savvy.
Ernie Lang (verified owner) –
The ink as claimed is really good, I’ve REALLY been printing a lot from this printer and its showing no signs of needing a reference lol anytime soon. The connection to Wi-Fi has no issues and the features work really well.
