With enough ink to print for up to one year included in the box, this MFC-J995DW All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Brother is ready to satisfy your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs for the home or office. With print resolutions up to 6000 x 1200 dpi, documents and graphics are crisp and clear on pages as large as 8.5 x 14″. Copying and scanning is possible via the flatbed CIS scanner. The unit also has faxing capabilities that can store 180 pages in its memory and transfer files at speeds of 14.4 kb/s. Additionally, the printer lets you wirelessly print from a desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet via NFC and Wi-Fi.

This is my first Brother printer and so far I am very pleased with it’s performance. I’ve scanned a lot of documents and the paper feeds very well without any assistance. The Inkvestment tanks are much better than the small cartridges of my previous printer which would dry out and be useless after a month of no use. Most of my printing is on plain paper – single and double side perform well. The only area for improvement would be in the scanning software to be able to crop images (maybe it exists but I haven’t found it) before saving the file. Overall a great all-in-one printer for home.

I’ve been well pleased with my Brother printer. It operates smoothly and quietly and promptly. The only problem that I have had is occasionally, when sending something to print, I’ve gotten a message saying “Printer Offline.” Then, I’ve had to go press the Power button to wake it up. I have fiddled around with the printer and network settings and the issue appears to be resolved although, at this time, I’m withholding judgment.

Bought it for two reasons. 1. Physical form factor (had to sit on a narrow shelf), and 2. larger ink supply. Having the AC cord come out the side was a big plus. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars, was that when the lid is fully raised, it encroaches on the back verticle panel of the shelf. So, it had to be pulled forward about an inch.

Wanted an all in one as a home backup with reasonable replacement ink costs. This unit certainly fits that bill. The tradeoff is output quality. Black text is perfectly acceptable. What is questionable is color output where colors seem muted, especially in photo images. This printer was never billed as a photo printer and the resulting output shows why. Highly recommended for everyday home office use.

This printer was bought to replace the HP I had for 8 years, It has all the features of a top quality office printer in a compact size that fits easily on my desk. It is extremely quiet, & prints quickly. I love that its document feeder holds over 25 pages, which can be used to scan, print & even fax! The print quality is crisp & clean. I also am very happy that it uses a reservoir for my ink, so I don’t have to replace cartridges so quickly as I did with the other ink jet printers. The ink cartridges are right in front, so they are easy to replace. The printer is very intuitive, since it has a touch screen with picture to operate the various features. I am so happy I bought this Brother all in one printer!
