With enough ink to print for up to two years included in the box, this MFC-J995DWXL All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Brother is ready to satisfy your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs for the home or office. With print resolutions up to 6000 x 1200 dpi, documents and graphics are crisp and clear on pages as large as 8.5 x 14″. Copying and scanning is possible via the flatbed CIS scanner. The unit also has faxing capabilities that can store 180 pages in its memory and transfer files at speeds of 14.4 kb/s. Additionally, the printer lets you wirelessly print from a desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet via NFC and Wi-Fi.

Wanted a printer where the ink wouldn’t break the bank. This was the compromise. It has the best price on ink that I could find. It’s a very good printer. That said, it doesn’t do photos like my old Canon but I knew it wasn’t going to. Does all that scanning, copying, and faxing and has a good interface. I connected it right to the the home network and put the Brother tool kit on each computer. Setup was simple with no problems.

I’ve had my printer for a couple of years. I haven’t had any major problems with it. If there is a jam it’s easy to fix. I just wish it was easier to print envelopes. If it had a feeder it would be perfect.

After a lifetime of HP products, this device is a breath of fresh air. It never jams, but that isn’t what really endears it… and that is the entirely different design philosophy evident in how it prints. Other printers retail for a low price, then kill you on consumable supplies, but Brother charges somewhat more for the device, then give you great gas mileage on the consumables, which end up costing much less when you get a refill. Count me a new fan of Brother stuff.

Love the printer – does double sided, easy to use. I have a MAC and needed soemthing with Airprint. The only issue is that I have connected via WiFi and it is not consistent in connecting to rpint or scan. Sometimes I have to shut off and then turn on and it connects. I did download the Iprint app on my Mac and since then it has been more consistent.

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. Overall Impression of the Brother MFC-J995DW Printer: At first I was a little worried that the printer might be time consuming and difficult to setup, but boy was I wrong! That is the one thing that I loved most about this printer, it was the easiest printer I have ever owned to get all setup and working. It automatically synced with my computers and phone, which some other printers can be a pain to get setup with a computer. I love the fact that you can do so much with one printer, scanning, faxing, printing, etc… The scanning feature is a must as I do a lot of that for my job. Favorite feature: My favorite feature is probably the ease of setup and use. It also comes with a year of ink!! It is also a nice looking printer as well (ours is white). It also prints each page pretty fast (not as fast as some other printers but definitely faster than anything I have owned). That is an issue I had with my previous printer, I hated standing there waiting for each page to print…Product Instructions and assembly: The instructions were very clear and easy to understand. There was almost no assembly, the printer came already assembled. The only thing we had to do is put ink and paper in it and it was ready to go!Product comparison: Like I have said before, this printer has been the easiest to use and setup out of all the other printers we have ever used. It also prints much faster than our other previous printers (unless you are printing a full page photo). The color photos come out surprisingly clear and crisp, I was impressed about that feature. With special photo paper I am sure they would be some nice quality photos!! The only thing I wish was better about this printer is the speed of the pages being printed. While it is faster than my previous printers, It would be nice to have one that spits out pages in a few seconds because I print a lot for my job and it does help saving time when things print fast. I would say it exceeded my expectations for sure. I would highly recommend this printer to anyone looking for one.

SUPER EASY to work with…except for the occasional connectivity issue…sees the printer but loses the correct port config on (1) of (2) printers in our office…even when uninstalling and reinstalling…very odd…can print to one, but not the other ?…only way i have been able to solve the issue is to find a colleague that CAN print, then copy their port information…no, updates or install the whole Brother suite does not solve either…
