With enough ink to print for up to two years included in the box, this MFC-J995DWXL All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Brother is ready to satisfy your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs for the home or office. With print resolutions up to 6000 x 1200 dpi, documents and graphics are crisp and clear on pages as large as 8.5 x 14″. Copying and scanning is possible via the flatbed CIS scanner. The unit also has faxing capabilities that can store 180 pages in its memory and transfer files at speeds of 14.4 kb/s. Additionally, the printer lets you wirelessly print from a desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet via NFC and Wi-Fi.

I bought this printer largely because my Brother laser printer has been such a fine product. This printer doesn’t really measure up to it. Pros: low cost, prints OK but not great, easy to set up WiFi. Cons: noisy, it seems somewhat fragile (not nearly as solid as the Canon it replaced),

Followed installation instructions and went very smoothly. I’m very happy with the print quality, high ink capacity, wireless connectivity for iPhone & iPad via AirPrint, and rich set of features included on this model. I chose to connect to my Windows 10 desktop PC via USB cable. This printer has everything I need. I also like the size and footprint that fits neatly on a tray in my printer cabinet.

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. The setup of the printer was seamless. It is essentially ready to go right from the box. The quick setup guide answered any questions I had right off the bat without having to dig into the full manual. Once out of the box, all I had to do was take the tape off, plug it in, insert the ink cartridges, and set it up to my devices. I didn`t need any help and was done in less than 15 minutes. I really like the size of this printer. I compared it to a multi-function printer I currently have, and it is so much smaller and definitely more user friendly. Brother fit a lot of options into a fairly compact and powerful machine! I have 2 favorite features on this printer. My first is the ability to print wirelessly from my computer or phone. When working from somewhere other than my desk with my current printer, I have to disrupt the flow of my work to get up and plug in the USB port. Printing from my computer wirelessly worked out perfectly with this Brother printer! The second favorite feature is that it prints duplex pages automatically. I`m very conscious of my carbon footprint and have always tried to print 2 sided when possible. It doesn`t always work out well when you have to do it manually. I usually end up flipping the images or double printing on one side. The printer comes with very large ink cartridges compared to what I`m used to, and the product advertises that the ink should last for 2 years even with a fairly substantial print volume. I`m confident these will last quite awhile. These cartridges honestly provide a great quality print as well. I tried photos, documents, and even thicker paper and was quite impressed with everything I printed out. I think if you have a home office or do a higher volume of printing, you can`t go wrong with this multi-function printer. I can`t say at this point that I would change anything about it, but I will certainly update my review if a suggestion arises.
