With enough ink to print for up to two years included in the box, this MFC-J995DWXL All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Brother is ready to satisfy your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs for the home or office. With print resolutions up to 6000 x 1200 dpi, documents and graphics are crisp and clear on pages as large as 8.5 x 14″. Copying and scanning is possible via the flatbed CIS scanner. The unit also has faxing capabilities that can store 180 pages in its memory and transfer files at speeds of 14.4 kb/s. Additionally, the printer lets you wirelessly print from a desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet via NFC and Wi-Fi.

I bought this printer because my older canon didn’t connect well to the wifi. I should have saved my money. I thought since this was new, it would have whatever was necessary to keep the connection strong and stable. Nope. I ultimately had to just hook up a usb cable after lots of hours of troubleshooting. Print quality is just okay. I mostly print b&w and occasional color graphs, no photos.

The size is perfect. Not too big or too small. I love having not to think about the ink level. As I don’t print 150 papers each month, I don’t need to worry about the ink level. The only thing I would change is I feel the darkness and quality of the print could be darker and crisper. I know and have adjusted to the “best” quality.It just takes about 4 steps to do that on each new printing instead of holding the choice for future printing.

Not only is machine difficult to install, but it is difficult to manage. Every time you stop a print action you get paper jams. Despite every thing I try the machine likes to print on the front and back of the files downloaded from my computor.

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. Overall I am delighted with this unit. I am hopeful that the quality and ink will stand up over time. I did try it out over a week long period just to be sure it wasn`t a one time deal. I would recommend this for someone who needs more than a basic inkjet printer but can`t justify a laser jet.Packaging: the packaging was very easy to open and remove the printer from. This may seem silly but sometimes it`s annoying to get stuff out of all messy Styrofoam and cardboard. The ink cartridges each come in their own individual tear open pouches which I really liked as well.Set up: after putting in the device it turned on and the screen prompted with instructions and images of how to install the ink and get started. This was very helpful and useful. The ink setup did take a few minutes so after putting it in go grab a quick coffee while you`re waiting. Likes: paper tray! This is a great feature, especially if you have children that like to steal all of your printer paper. With the tray, the paper is hidden and they can`t find it or bend it. Ease of use. Convenient ink installation. Multifunctional device.Possible concerns: The LED keypad is very small it may present an issue for some to type or read.Image quality: fantastic, I tried images, documents, copies and scans. I used photos, and intricate items such as birth certificates to test quality. I found all items to be above average in quality and was pleasantly surprised by the print speed. This may be Insignificant to some but when time is short this is important.WiFi was great as I was able to print right from my phone without any additional set up.

Have had other Brother printers and really like them. Very reliable with good print quality. Adequate for photo scanning, although some colors don’t scan well. Like the large ink capacities. Wifi connectivity is great.

I have had no problems at all with the printer. One paper jam, easily fixed although I don’t quite understand the mechanism for releasing if it should (and of course it will) happen again. My only concern is that the paper feed mechanism seems flimsy: takes a bit of awkwardness to open, like a jerking motion to open to add paper and I am concerned it will not last. Also, I never rate any product like this 5 stars until I have used it for a considerable length of time.

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. The printer shipped quickly and arrived in its original packaging, which was sufficient to handle shipment without any damage. We appreciated how well it was protected inside the box as well. Set-up was easy: We did the manual set-up with disk on our desktop and downloaded the software directly from Brother for our laptop. Both were fast, clear, and efficient. We run a small on-line consignment, and regularly print invoices, packing slip and shipping labels, which is what this printer will primarily be used for, and we feel that this will more than sufficiently meet that need. Overall we would highly recommend this product and have been very happy with it so far. I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I received this printer a couple weeks ago for my home office. Taking it out of the box was easy. Included in the box were the Quick Setup Guide instructions, the product safety guide, a cd for installation of software to a computer, warranty, registration, a reference guide, the printer, ink, and power cord as well as an telephone line cord. To set up the printer, the only things I used were the printer, ink, power cord, and the Quick Setup Guide instructions. The instructions were not very detailed, but I did not have any trouble getting it set up. I did not connect the telephone line during the setup and have not used the fax component of the machine. I did use my iPhone and iPad along with the Brother iPrint&Scan to print over WiFi and it has been extremely easy. Compared to printers I have used in the fast, so far it has worked very well. It is a little bulky in size as I have seen other multi function printers that are much more compact and take up less space on my desk. One plus is that it easily connected to the internet and it stays connected without having to reboot anything. It is a little noisier than the last printer I had. One thing that frustrates me is that you have to lift the output paper tray to lo load more paper. It`s not a simple slide out and open either; the entire paper tray comes out and then you have to reinsert it and I`m never sure if I put it back right, although I have not experienced any problems so far. The print quality is average. I haven`t tried to print any high quality photos, but I would not think this machine would be great for that. It seems to be a great at home/home office printer to print basic documents. Pros: setup was simple, easily connect and print over WiFi Cons: bulky, loud, paper tray ease of use

This printer was super-easy to set up on my WiFi network and get working. I’m very happy with the footprint and love that it also has a scanner/feeder. The quality of the print is not as sharp as it could be, but works for at home use for the basic recipe printing off the internet and various financial forms or email we use it for. We have had the printer almost three months and ink is lasting well. My only complaint is that if I print something from my iPhone, the printer produces output that is overly large – I would like to be able to compress the size of the print so that what should print easily on an 8.5 x 11 paper doesn’t take two or three pages.
