With enough ink to print for up to two years included in the box, this MFC-J995DWXL All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Brother is ready to satisfy your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs for the home or office. With print resolutions up to 6000 x 1200 dpi, documents and graphics are crisp and clear on pages as large as 8.5 x 14″. Copying and scanning is possible via the flatbed CIS scanner. The unit also has faxing capabilities that can store 180 pages in its memory and transfer files at speeds of 14.4 kb/s. Additionally, the printer lets you wirelessly print from a desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet via NFC and Wi-Fi.

I had the same problem with a previous Brother printer, and was disappointed that this one also goes offline at least a few times each week, requiring me to unplug and restart the printer while holding down the power button for 12 seconds. I feel like The Printer Whisperer. This really shouldn’t be necessary. Features and cost are OK, but sad to say I would not recommend.

I have owned hp printers for years, but this time I wanted a better printer like the Brother-MFC-J995DW XL. I was not disappointed, it is a very fast printer, does not go off-line very often like the hp printers. Printer support is provided for the life of the printer, not one year. The paper capacity is 150 pages so it doesn’t need paper very often. I really love this printer.

Lots of bugs in setup sw. For example printer and laptop need to be connected to same wireless lan to work. Would not work using ethernet cable or seperate wireless lan.

This is my first experience with a Brother printer, and all I can say is that it is exactly what I was hoping for when looking for a new budget all-in-one for my office. I work for a small business, so having something reliable is important to us, but we don’t have the volume of documents necessary to justify the high-end models with all the bells and whistles. We’ve been using this device for the past 3 months now and it has done everything we have needed it to do with little issue. The feature that I was most intrigued by was the Inkvestment tanks that advertised being a better value than the traditional cartridges that I was used to. Usually we would have gone through at least 1 or 2 sets of cartridges by now, but the original ink tank fill-ups that came with the printer are still going strong! The only feature that I wish it had was the ability to do double-sided scanning using the document feeder, but this is only a minor inconvenience for us. Overall, great value for the money and I would recommend it to anyone looking at this price level!
