With enough ink to print for up to two years included in the box, this MFC-J995DWXL All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Brother is ready to satisfy your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs for the home or office. With print resolutions up to 6000 x 1200 dpi, documents and graphics are crisp and clear on pages as large as 8.5 x 14″. Copying and scanning is possible via the flatbed CIS scanner. The unit also has faxing capabilities that can store 180 pages in its memory and transfer files at speeds of 14.4 kb/s. Additionally, the printer lets you wirelessly print from a desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet via NFC and Wi-Fi.

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. This printer is really convenient and straightforward to use. It was ready to go right out of the box and the setup was straightforward. especially like the touchscreen feature which is easy and intuitive to use. It is also easy to connect and print from my desktop computer, laptop, or phone. Another feature I thought was useful was the document feeder for making copies and scans. It is convenient for scanning multi page documents, although I will say that the feeder seems slow to me (in comparison to a fast document scanner such as a Scan Snap), so it would take a while to scan large multi-page documents with it. Overall the printing seems to be good quality. I printed various things with it including color photos, black and white word and excel documents, and various graphic design images. On some of the color prints, the colors were true but they appeared somewhat dull rather than vibrant. That said, this could be due to the paper type and quality of the digital images themselves rather than the printer. There were no lines or streaks. Compared to other printers I have used, this one seems more user friendly in its functionality, although I can`t say whether it has better quality color printing.Overall it meets my expectations. I will have to try the color printing with other types of paper to more fully assess the quality of the color printing.

Overall this printer has worked well. Easy set up, software set up went smoothly. Scanning, double sided scanning. Print is clean and crisp, buttons worked perfectly. Was immediately recognized by Chromebook and added as a printer. Only weakness I ran into was setting up the auto refill program. The auto fill program which has to be set up through your phone app just failed. I tried to set up through the internet and was redirected back to the app. My concern became the stability of the app either signing up (which was failing) or if successful, being unable to cancel. Otherwise this was a good printer out if the box.

I have had Brother printers in the past and they worked very well. This time I lost my mind and purchased a major name brand and I was very dissatisfied with the setup, quality and the ink cost was ridiculous. I had to keep extra cartridges on hand all the time. I’ve only had the printer for a month but so far so good. I have done more scanning than printing and the scanner works good except on some color photos. I raised the quality to 1200 and that worked but the time to scan a 4×6 photo was horrible. So, if you have a lot of photos to scan, buy a scanner made to do that, not an all in one.
