With enough ink to print for up to two years included in the box, this MFC-J995DWXL All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Brother is ready to satisfy your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs for the home or office. With print resolutions up to 6000 x 1200 dpi, documents and graphics are crisp and clear on pages as large as 8.5 x 14″. Copying and scanning is possible via the flatbed CIS scanner. The unit also has faxing capabilities that can store 180 pages in its memory and transfer files at speeds of 14.4 kb/s. Additionally, the printer lets you wirelessly print from a desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet via NFC and Wi-Fi.

Perfect for my home office. My singly gripe is I wish I didn’t have to pull open paper tray all the way out to flip it over if I want to print on the other side of a page) separate computer files where double sided printing isn’t an option.) This is not a small printer but it is just the right size to sit on a small table/nightstand in my modified home office. And ink efficiency is great!

Prints quickly, color is good, and I just learned how to scan a document and download it to my laptop. Very useful for submitting documents when doing shed sales. I am not in a typical office environment: temps range from 40 to over 100 *F, but Brother works great!

I have had 2 previous Brother printers, and both have been easy to use and have printed and scanned my documents perfectly. I did my homework, and found a personal/small business printer to use while working remotely. Does a nice job, and the price was great (many stores were sold out, but one office supply store had it in stock for quick delivery). Have not used the fax component yet, but glad its available.

THis machine is well designed from human factors point of view: 1- i like the great ink volume and high page count per/cartridge 2 – Connected to my LAN ethernet very easily. 3 – Allows me to reset the ink overflow counters using firmware from control screen. My old Canon was bricked and junked when their counters indicated overflow. 4 – scanner is great in all functionality only 1 Con – Wish the rear paper feed was more than 1 sheet.

Easy to set up and use. I have not tried to print a photo yet. It faxes fast and prints fairly fast. Screen could be bigger but it’s still usable. Overall I’m very satisfied with this unit. Fast response from the computer to print is appreciated. The unit is made well and the placement if the cartridges is a major plus.

You can not scan more than a couple papers at a time through the feeder without getting a jam or standing and babysitting the scan the whole time undoing jams. The number one thing I need an all in one for.

Two items are annoying, both minor. The copy reduction selection is limited to a short list of pre set shrinkages or up sizing. Previous printers have a full percentage of sizing up or down. I have the ads that seem to wake the printer up and remind me of mother’s day, or similar reasons to buy from Brother. I cannot find a way to stop them.

The printer works well as advertised. The main thing I don’t like about the printer is that it turns itself off automatically. This “energy saving” feature is annoying because I always have to answer prompts after turning the printer on. The other feature that is poor is that the paper tray requires you to remove it to add paper. The last printer I had allowed you to “top feed” a stack pf paper. I could always tell when paper was low. before, but now I get no warning.

I’ve been an HP customer for over 20 years. I was highly disappointed with a model that required the Intstant Ink monthly subscription when it stopped functioning after 6 months. This model reminded me of an old all-in-one I had years ago, that I really enjoyed. It has not disappointed, everything works great, good quality printing!
