Easy to install and the print quality and speed are super for a home office printer.

Since receiving my printer and using it for the past month, it has worked extremely well. It produces very sharp copies in color as well as in black and white. I have been very satisfied with this printer.
Kianna Stark (verified owner) –
Very disappointed when printing photo work. Colors look faded.

Needed a new printer. Last printer was a Brother and it was a real work horse. This model is a bit more compact and what it was designed to do. Ink cartridges las a very long time. Well constructed.

This copier was out of stock for months, probably because people like me being forced to work from home due to the Covid epidemic. I researched everything available and decided this white version was the best bang for the buck. I didn’t need it to copy from my phone or any fancy stuff. I just needed a reliable copier that primarily copied quickly and cheaply in mostly black and white and sometimes in color. No brochures or books, no pictures from my phone, just plain old copies of work stuff. I have had this white brother for three months now and it is still full of ink after heavy usage, yay! which is why I waited to get this model. To date, two small nit picks are the same I already knew about. The display panel is small and located on the front of the machine instead of the top, so it’s hard to read, especially if you wear progressive lenes glasses. Also, it’s noisy. Every time it pulls a page from the tray it almost sounds like there’s a paper jam or something is going wrong. You get used to it. Oh, and as all the reviews said, it doesn’t hold much paper in its paper tray. It’s fine for typical home usage, but if you are copying huge jobs you will be adding paper frequently. I also scan from time to time and that feature works well and fairly quickly and is easy to use. I primarily got this to save money on ink, and so far, so good. It just works like it is supposed to. Love it!

Great little printer for the price point, replaced a cannon pixma with this and it’s pretty compatible in features. Set up easily in our WiFi network and works well from both iPhones and iPads and laptops. The ink looks like it will last a while with normal usage. Would recommend to people looking for a cost effective printer

This is the best inkjet printer I have ever used. It is fast and quiet and the print is very good.

While this is the first time for a Brother printer, I have gotten somewhat familiar with it an it seems to be a good product.
Lane Nikolaus (verified owner) –
I bought this Brother printer to replace an older Brother printer I owned, a MFC495 if I recall it correctly. I only use it at home and find it is likely going to last me over one year in ink. I particularly enjoy the two sided printing. Very happy with the purchase.

This printer was ok until it broke. It discontinued working and has a jammed message: “Pull the jammed paper out of the machine”. Unfortunately no paper of any kind, that I can see, is in the machine. It broke during the 2nd month of operation.

I’ve had many printers. They always have had issues ink drying up etc. but this is a great printer. Never failed me. Cartridges last a long time. And the ink hasn’t dried up in years.

Surpassed all expectations; definitely would encourage looking into this printer…I did, and am 100% pleased.

Set-up much easier than previous printers. Rapid and consistent connection to Wi-fi. Loading paper not quite as easy however. Helpful booklet, as opposed to previous printer requiring going online.

I love this printer. It prints very quickly even when doing double sided prints. The colors are great and I like that I can set up automatic order for refill. It is a tiny bit noisy when printing but now that I’ve used it for awhile don’t even notice it anymore. The display is great and easy to use. I like that it gives step by step instructions that are easy to follow. I would buy this product again as well as recommend to others.

This is the best printer I’ve ever owned. The ink lasts practically forever, the replacement ink cartridges are relatively inexpensive, and the print quality is superb. The printer set up was a breeze. I can print wirelessly from any device in my house, including my iPhones. The printer is quick, quiet, and the print quality is excellent. The user interface is so easy to use. Why does HP even bother to make printers anymore? This printer runs rings around the HP’s, Canons, & Epsons that I’ve owned in the past. This printer is a workhorse. OK, one think they could improve is to put a larger paper tray on the printer. Otherwise, it is INCREDIBLE!!

Easines of set up and work related festures. A little bit fuzzy on the wi fi connection but software update fixed it. Still going on the printing, wife uses it daily. Wanted to buy another one but out of stock everywhere.

My last ink jet printer was a disappointment; it was incredibly noisy and sucked down ink like a drunken sailor on shore leave; especially annoying was the way color ink disappeared even though I rarely printed in color. When researching a new printer I wanted one that appeared to have more frugal ink consumption, was quieter, did NOT have to be used wirelessly or constantly connected to the internet, and let me buy ink when I wanted to and didn’t try to coerce me into some subscription service I don’t want. This Brother printer checked all the boxes for me and thus far has been great. The only thing I wish it did was automatically deploy the little component that extends from the paper tray to support the printed pages; I forget to pull it out and the paper falls on the floor. Other than that so far this printer is a winner. Allegedly the ink lasts for a long time; we’ll see if that’s the case but I’m optimistic so far.

I purchased the Brother MFC-J995DW Printer after much research. One of the reasons I chose this printer was that it monitors the ink cartridge capacities and allows you to order before you run out. It saves you from having to wait for a depleted cartridge to be ordered and wait for the shipment. The general everyday printing is excellent. I like the fact it is also wireless allowing me to print from my phone, iPad and laptop easily. I’ve not experienced any jamming or other issues. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that the quality of photo printing is not all that great. But for everyday document or office printing, it has been flawless.

First Brother printer i have owned and it is by far the best printer i have ever had, the speed of this printer is remarkable. This printer is done printing before my HP would be done cleaning the print heads. Photo prints are actually superior quality to the hp photo smart printers. The ink cartridges have a huge amount of ink and this printer stays connected never i mean never drops WIFI connection. I would recommend this printer.

Scan program is clumsy the phone app is flawed and the ADF could be better. Printing photos is good, would like to see a dedicated photo paper tray. Footprint is good I had a large Canon MX922 and had to get a smaller printer. overall it is a functional printer and does what I need it to do
