With enough ink to print for up to two years included in the box, this MFC-J995DWXL All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Brother is ready to satisfy your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs for the home or office. With print resolutions up to 6000 x 1200 dpi, documents and graphics are crisp and clear on pages as large as 8.5 x 14″. Copying and scanning is possible via the flatbed CIS scanner. The unit also has faxing capabilities that can store 180 pages in its memory and transfer files at speeds of 14.4 kb/s. Additionally, the printer lets you wirelessly print from a desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet via NFC and Wi-Fi.

I am usint the printer in a home, not an office. I do find the printer was easy to set up. When called upon to print…it works. I have not used the other features yet, scan and the fax. I can only assume they will work equally as well as the printer.

Good, practical, high quality printer. Would buy it again. Only issue was that initially it would not print emails from Microsoft Mail, but would if I went to the email provider website. Suddenly, it did print MS Mail emails, and it has always done everything else that I have asked, as did the previous Brother printer. I am just a little bit uncomfortable when a problem goes away without any apparent action on my part.

We have housed it everyday for last 3 months. Scans and prints very well. We have Apple computer and works well with a wired connection. We cannot use pc based software for WiFi connection and unable to fuse pc based software for scan center is only drawback. Frugal on ink use so saves money by not having to buy new ink cartridges all time. At three months with original that came with new printer.

I have been purchasing Brother laser printers for my workplace for years and have never had a problem with them. They have been 100% reliable. When my personal inkjet printer of another brand at home died, I decided to give the Brother MFC-J995DWXL a try. This is a remarkable printer. First of all, the thought of being able to go up to two years without replacing cartridges is hard to imagine, and will certainly take the hassle out of ordering and replacing cartridges frequently. It prints very quickly and the colors are amazingly brilliant and accurate. I have never had an inkjet printer that printed so quickly and with clear, crisp characters. In addition, it was extremely easy to perform the wireless set-up and the on-screen functions are very intuitive. The only disappointment is that it doesn’t perform 2-sided scanning; however, I understand that the PaperPort application has a function that allows you to scan the multi-page document twice and then put the pages together as if it was scanned 2-sided. I haven’t tried this yet, but am confident it will work based on my research. I am so glad that I decided to purchase this printer. I am also confident that it will give me many, many years of solid performance.

Easy set up – be sure to download all the utilities especially if you need printer conversion to other formats, like PDF or JPEG. Prints faster than I expected and qualilty is great. I love this printer, it does everything you could possibly need. I worked for a major IT printer manufacture and 12 years ago I purchased a Brother Printer because I was on a budget. That printer lasted 12 years and would do everything I needed for printing services. Well after shopping around and actually purchasing another brand I had to return it because it worked 1 time. I purchased this brother printer after seeking Brother customer service help to find a model that would do all I needed. Quick response from Brother and my puchase was headache free.

So my printer died and I wanted something that didn’t eat up ink like the old one. (Printer ink being the most expensive liquid on the planet, literally). So I started looking at some of these printers that came with ink already in them, or ink packages. Then I would read the reviews. All of them had one star-ratings over 20%. Complaints of hours with tech support to connect to wi-fi, to printing problems, to hardware problems, over and over horror stories. Then I saw the one-star ratings on this printer, also high, but which seemed to be more oriented to being bad right out of the box and then easily being replaced. Have had this printer now for three months. Was easy to setup and connect to wifi, around 40 minutes after opening the box. No printing or feed problems whatsoever. It will be a very long time before I need to purchase more ink.
