With enough ink to print for up to two years included in the box, this MFC-J995DWXL All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Brother is ready to satisfy your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs for the home or office. With print resolutions up to 6000 x 1200 dpi, documents and graphics are crisp and clear on pages as large as 8.5 x 14″. Copying and scanning is possible via the flatbed CIS scanner. The unit also has faxing capabilities that can store 180 pages in its memory and transfer files at speeds of 14.4 kb/s. Additionally, the printer lets you wirelessly print from a desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet via NFC and Wi-Fi.

Printer seems very temperamental. It prints fairly well usually– not as dark as I would prefer. But it will scan to PC sometimes and sometimes not. Very frustrating.

This is a solid and fast printer with A FEW ISSUES when working with a MAC OS. Issues: 1-The hardwired connection is in a strange place, not in the back of the unit, you have to lift the glass and connect your ethernet or USB there. Weird location and not at all convenient. 2-The printer loses its wireless connection often, that’s why I had to go with a hardwire USB connection. Otherwise, the printer does what it’s supposed to do.

Never had a Brother before. I had HP, Canon, and Epson. But I believe is the best so far. The App works really well. The hardest thing was loading software on my pc, but got it and it works fine. Printer is really fast compared to the Canon Pixma 870, that thing was slow. I recommend this printer.

I used to be a customer or another brand for many years so I took a chance with Brother and this particular model after I reviewed comments in several websites and online retailers. I am so glad I bought this all-in-one printer. It works fantastic. Great printer, excellent scanner and all the other features have not let me down. Two months and I would buy it again right away. The INK last a long time, we print a ton in our home and still has the original cartridges. It’s silence mode is perfect to place it in our bedroom as well. I have not run into any issues. The software is different than the other brand and it can be overwhelming at the beginning if you don’t take the time to check the manual. Once you do it a couple of times though it just easy. I just the change to go from one company’s software to another. You have a lot of customizations for every feature. I tweaked the ones I needed, but left the other ones alone and it just works great for me. You won’t be disappointed with this model. Also, their customer service is much better than I expected and you actually talk to a real human being that does not give you excuses and/or run the same canned instructions again and again. It was just a great experience asking simple questions and not being treated like a number or somebody who just don’t know what he/she is doing.

Use the printer every day for business. Works very well, elegantly. Because it is wireless only, I worry about the wireless failing with a wire-direct backup option. I am also not really sure how to get help with a live person in the event of a failure.

I bought this printer to replace a very old laser copier that failed. I was looking for a color printer that minimizes frequent, expensive ink cartridge changes and would allow me to AirPrint, copy, and scan documents, and is relatively quiet when it prints. So far, this printer has accomplished all of these aims. My only suggestions for improvement are that the paper tray could be designed to be pulled out more easily, and I have not yet figured out how to scan a multi-page document from the flatbed (e.g. not using the sheet feeder). The paper tray is a minor annoyance. The flatbed scanning issue is a disappointment, because it requires that I use another vendor’s multifunction device in another part of my home to accomplish multi-page scans from the flatbed. Otherwise, I am very pleased with my choice of this product.

I had trouble loading the driver onto my computer. luckily I had Geek Squad do it for me. They said they had to get an update from the web. to comoplete the installation. Very flustrating to insert a brand new driver from the disc that came with the unit and it not work because it wasn’t up to date.

The printer works well. I find that it is a little loud when copying and printing. It almost sounds like the paper is going to get stuck but doesn’t. It’s not high tech but does its job and performs.
