With enough ink to print for up to two years included in the box, this MFC-J995DWXL All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Brother is ready to satisfy your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs for the home or office. With print resolutions up to 6000 x 1200 dpi, documents and graphics are crisp and clear on pages as large as 8.5 x 14″. Copying and scanning is possible via the flatbed CIS scanner. The unit also has faxing capabilities that can store 180 pages in its memory and transfer files at speeds of 14.4 kb/s. Additionally, the printer lets you wirelessly print from a desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet via NFC and Wi-Fi.

This was an easy to set up printer. I use the printing, scanning and copying features. (did not set up for fax) Easy to load paper (letter and legal), easy to use. It’s small (perfect for my home office). I am very glad I purchased this printer.

Excellent printer. Very easy to use, excellent color, very efficient and reliable. On letter size paper, it is a good solid performer. I had expected it to automatically duplex both letter and legal paper, but found out that this printer will not automatically duplex legal size. I have the wide format version of this printer, which does do the legal size duplex. On the J995DW, printing the back side on legal is very easy. You just take the stack off the printer after doing the first side, and set it back in the paper tray just the way you pick it up. Then print the second side. Also, Brother’s tech support is excellent.

My Brother J995W was easy to set up and works consistently, giving high quality. My one complaint is that it replaced a 650-series Brother and the Scan functions…default to the older model that is no longer in use, wasting a lot of time when I forget to re-set it every time to to the new model. I had to abandon the old one because it started putting a streak down the page of every scan. Brother should provide a way to remove the setting that defaults to the old model.

This model does everything I need it to do, and more. The printing feature offers complete control of a very large array of options, many of which I have already used. The print quality is excellent and, so far, the ink consumption appears to be very efficient. I have not used the fax option, but I use the scan feature often. The duplex feed system is especially useful when scanning multiple page documents. For my requirements the ability to connect to my LAN be Ethernet is absolutely a selling point. Another great Brother product.
