With enough ink to print for up to two years included in the box, this MFC-J995DWXL All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Brother is ready to satisfy your printing, copying, scanning, and faxing needs for the home or office. With print resolutions up to 6000 x 1200 dpi, documents and graphics are crisp and clear on pages as large as 8.5 x 14″. Copying and scanning is possible via the flatbed CIS scanner. The unit also has faxing capabilities that can store 180 pages in its memory and transfer files at speeds of 14.4 kb/s. Additionally, the printer lets you wirelessly print from a desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet via NFC and Wi-Fi.

Wanted an all in one as a home backup with reasonable replacement ink costs. This unit certainly fits that bill. The tradeoff is output quality. Black text is perfectly acceptable. What is questionable is color output where colors seem muted, especially in photo images. This printer was never billed as a photo printer and the resulting output shows why. Highly recommended for everyday home office use.

The only issue I have is it seems like the tray that holds the paper feels like a really cheap hunk of plastic! It functions fine but it just has a quality of feeling fragile I don’t know how you would ever correct that

Easy to set-up and use including Wi-FI connection. Good general purpose printer with lots of flexibility for home use and sharing between multiple devices. Excellent software drivers with minimal problems interfacing with different device types and operating systems (Android x or Win7, Win10)! Very slow when using the copier or fax functions so sutiable only for ocassional use. Overall good printer quality but only fair photo quality and no photo paper tray. Key reasons for purchase were economical ink usage/cost for document printing and Brother reliability. After 4 months of low volume but daily use….. a little too early to tell for sure but so far very satisfied with purchase.

The setup was fairly easy and so far it prints nicely. Airprint worked from the start but quit working about a week ago. After a few technical gymnastics and a couple of hard restarts on my iPad it came up again. “So far so good” I wouldn’t take this one back. Have not had a chance to try the other features yet.
