Along with these capabilities, the printer features a two-line monochrome LCD for checking current status and has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity with support for direct mobile printing. Additionally, it has USB 2.0 and Ethernet connections for wired configurations.

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I have this all in one unit for my home office. The size is compact and prints wireless from all the computers in my home. This makes a difference as I have a mac for ad layouts and a PC for everyday computing.While this printer only prints in black and white, it scans in color. This is the only drawback to this item- the fact that it only prints in black and white.The machine itself is energy efficient. It begins its sleep mode about 60 seconds of inactivity. Is springs to life very quickly when prompted.The machine is also very quiet. It prints quickly and quietly which is another major plus. it can print about 200 sheets at a time which is amazing. The fax mode is quiet as well. upon completion, there is a small beep letting you the task is complete. When the fax line was picked up, it was not offensive. Setup was about 30 mins as I had to enter the date/time for the fax machine. The instructions were simple and for the most part easy to follow.I have not priced out what the printing drum will costs to replace, nor do I have any idea of how long the printing drum will last.This is a good machine for the costs. It prints postcards, labels, envelopes, etc. I will still keep the small color printer I have for the occasion color printing.

This Brother black and white printer has all the features I need with none of the hassle I’ve had with other printers. It starts up fast, prints fast, scans in color, was easy to set up and never loses its connection to my network. It is my replacement for a Canon color printer. That printer took two to three minutes to wake up before it would print. Every time I scanned something over the WiFi, it was an adventure in what errors I would have to resolve. The Brother printer just works. I don’t need the vast majority of my printing in color, so this is a good fit for me.
