Along with these capabilities, the printer features a two-line monochrome LCD for checking current status and has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity with support for direct mobile printing. Additionally, it has USB 2.0 and Ethernet connections for wired configurations.

I had a succession of HP inkjet printers going back to the early Nineties. They were cheap, and that was it. They barely lasted 3-4 years and would crap out. I finally made the leap of faith to the Brother laser printer. It’s more expensive than what I had been buying for my home office, but well worth it.

We do not use the fax feature but that is the default when the printer comes on. I wish I could disable it, everything else is fine.

This printer is ideal for what I use it for. I don’t do a lot of printing so a laser printer is a lot more feasable than an ink jet due to the fact ink dries up and toner does not if the printer sits unused for any length of time. Plus the higher print volume of a toner cartrige is a definate bonus when you have to do a high volume print job.The additiomal scan, fax, and copier features eliminates having multiple devices and saves a lot of space if you are as limited on office space as I am.

First time I ever bought a Laser printer and I could not be more happy with it. Ink Jet printers in the past, always cost me a small fortune in ink (even if I seldom uses my printer). Not so with this printer. One year after the purchase and I’m still using the original ink cartridge it came with. That never came close to happening with my Cannon ink Jet printer.
