Along with these capabilities, the printer features a two-line monochrome LCD for checking current status and has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity with support for direct mobile printing. Additionally, it has USB 2.0 and Ethernet connections for wired configurations.

I bought this machine because the two previous Brother MFC’s would no longer pick up paper reliably. Over the few months I have owned this machine, every page is picked up as expected. Set up directions were clear and fairly easy to follow. Prints well with WIFI. The machine, as it is setup now prints on both sides of the page. I would rather it print on only one side, but have not yet devoted the time to learning how to change that part of the setup.

I’ve had several printers in the past, just about all the brands that you can think off. By far this was the best printer I owned. It’s only about a month of ownership but I I can see the big difference already as far as ease of set up and quality of prints and functions. When on asleep, it wakes up as soon as you send something to print. When you turn it on it doesn’t take long to be on the ready mode compared to the last printer I had which takes approximately 5 minutes or longer. I’m really happy with this printer.

We purchased this printer because of the air print capability. Prior to having it we always wanted to print from our iPhone or iPad. It works great BUT when the printer goes to sleep it disappears from the network.. When we want to print we have to go in the room where the printer is located, wake it up by touching a button on the control pad, then wait for it to reappear on the printer list. No way to disable that feature, deep sleep mode is default and permanent. Huge PITA.

While not a color printer like I have access to at work, the basic need that I wanted to fulfill is more than met with this copier/printer combo (I have no need for the fax function). Have had a couple of months and so far it works great. Holds lots of paper. Bought the bigger size cartridge. Much less economical to operate than the HP Deskjet I had. I don’t use the fax function. I just print and copy.
