For all the other functions, the MFC-L2710DW is equipped with both a 50-sheet ADF and an 8.5 x 11.7" flatbed with an optical resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi. This configuration will capture fine detail in your originals and allow the creation of sharp copies with ease. Along with these capabilities, the printer features a two-line monochrome LCD for checking current status and has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity with support for direct mobile printing. Additionally, it has USB 2.0 and Ethernet connections for wired configurations.

I purchased this to replace my MFC-7860DW which I purchased in 2013. It needed a drum replacement as well as a toner cartridge. The MFC-L2710DW seems a little cheaper and noisier. It also seems the way the scanner function pulls the paper is not as good as I get quite a few pages that are crooked when scanned.

Works well but can’t seem to scan using the controls directly on the printer since it does not allow me to get to some settings to set it up on my Mac. Only using a WiFi connection which is sweet. And the app works well otherwise. A bit noisy. Prints look good. Initially the printing looked pixelated but there are settings that I found to change that. I guess it saves on ink. But nice solid, sharp, black fonts can be had in the settings. I can live with the workarounds for the scanner. Hopefully Apple and Brother can solve this one day.

It took me three attempts to get the software to install properly, but 3rd try was textbook smooth. Was it me or the software; probably me. Have had it for @4 months and works flawlessly. However, while it can print on both sides of the page this machine cannot automatically scan or copy 2 sided. Major drawback.

It would be a 5 if the document feeder worked for scanning as well as copying. And some of the steps require too many button pushes. Quality is very nice.
