Along with these capabilities, the printer features a two-line monochrome LCD for checking current status and has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity with support for direct mobile printing. Additionally, it has USB 2.0 and Ethernet connections for wired configurations.

When i can get this printer to work its great!! Prints sheets super fast, black ink only, great quality…..when i can get it to print. I am a couponer and got this to print coupons, the app will cannot find this printer. I go to the website and if im lucky its available. I have this printer connected to same wifi as my phone but cant ever print from my phone cuz its never available

It is a very good printer. The only problem I have is when it sits idle for a period of time I have to turn it off and re-start it. Not a big problem but annoying.

I bought this printer two months ago to replace an aging ink jet. So far it has worked very well, and copies and prints flawlessly. It is nice to have a machine that can make photocopies. I bought two additional toners and a drum kit in anticipation of future use. The toners are pretty reasonably priced; the drum kit is a little on the high end, but I bought Brother toners and drums so that I would not have problems with the machine. As stated, so far it is working very well for printing and copying. It is of good build quality(rugged construction) and was very easy to set up online. I was glad to have the CD, however, in case I needed to install it and had no internet connection. I do miss having a full manual for the product, however. One has to go online to get the manual, and it would be prohibitive in terms of toner use to print it all out. I would gladly pay more money if a full manual were included. However, it is an excellent printer which has performed very well for me.

Printing is fine when it works but the printer will not stay connected to our wifi network so it is worthless. Every time we want to print we have reconfigure the network.

Essentially, this does everything I need in an all-in-one B&W laser printer. My trusty old HP LJ 3055 finally lived longer than Apple and HP were willing to support, so I moved to an Epson color inkjet. That simply did not suit my needs of primarily B&W text printing. Beside the cost of operation, it was very slow in printing B&W text. The Brother handles text very nicely – exactly what I need. Set up was easy, no hitches. The wi-fi capability is a wonderful step up from the HP. Print quality is good, especially where the color inkjet tended to block up tinted text, the contrast settings on this are made for B&W printing. My only regret is not paying attention to the size of the scanning/copying bed – its @ 8.75×11.75, making it difficult to scan books two pages at a time and will be a problem with scanning old legal-sized documents. But, with that comes a bit of space-saving from a smaller footprint on my desk. If I need larger scanning, I can handle that on an image scanner, a pain to set up, but…

This is a great printer for monochrome. It is fairly fast and does a very clear print. The scanner is very clear and I use it often for scanning documents that have to be clear. I have had no problems with it at all.

We have used all the features (including FAX!!) and they have all worked well. The duplex printing saves paper; the fax, copy and scan features are all very good. We have had several previous laser printers and multi-function inkjets (from other manufacturers) and this device is some much better…being a laser printer makes it very economical; the suite of features and capabilities make it extremely useful.
