This quick, wireless-capable printer has an exceptional print speed of 48 ppm, which also applies to copy speed, and it has a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi. Users will also be able to easily produce documents ranging in size up to 8.5 x 14″ with ease using either the 520-sheet main input tray or the 50-sheet multipurpose tray.
Both a 70-sheet ADF and a large legal-size flatbed are available for scanning and copying. Scanning benefits from a great optical resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi and it can work in simplex at 28 ipm in black or 20 ipm in color. Single-pass duplex scanning is possible at impressive rates of 56 ipm in black and 34 ipm in color. For ease of use, there is a 4.85″ color touchscreen for checking status and manipulating settings. A USB port on the front can be used for direct printing and scanning and the printer does have standard USB 2.0 and Ethernet connections. In addition to this, the MFC-L6700DW has Wi-Fi connectivity for wireless access from a computer or mobile device.

Did some research to find the best bang for my buck small office printer / scanner and ended up finding this model. The web UI is a little clunky for setup but once you figure it out it does everything you would expect it to. The print resolution could be better but is more than sufficient for everyday printing.

Good fast printer, and very economical printing. Also scans, but having some trouble getting it to scan by feeder. A bit noisy when printing, so you need to be need to be mindful of that when you are on the phone. Just got it, chose it from among many others with same features.

We have several MFC-6700s in our offices. I like that I can still buy the same model now that we purchased six years ago (with some upgrades to the software.) They work great for scanning to email, scanning to shared network folders, and printing. It’s an excellent machine for medium sized office and needs no changes.

I have had no issues with most of the features with this printer, the printing is good and clear and the scanning jobs I have done were good quality. There is a warning for anyone that is looking at getting this printer to do a lot of scanning jobs, THIS PRINTER IS NOT CAPABLE OF SCANNING MIXED PAPER SIZES. You have to set it to the largest size paper and scan your pages that way, unlike other printer/scanner combos that can detect the different paper sizes and scan them to the proper sizes. This is not important for some people but this affected the way I was trying to use the scanner for my business. This aspect is not clear in the documentation or website. Perhaps because it isn’t so important for some people.

The speed is fairly good. The scan to computer sometimes gets a glitch. It was difficult for it to recognize the different computers in the office to set it up initially. The print from phone works great.

This is our 6th MFC & was great…until we went to Windows 10. We downloaded new drivers for it, but you lose features with Win 10. Ease of use is no longer there. Duplex printing is now cumbersome. Very disappointed.
