Enjoy wireless connectivity and all-in-one functionality with the MFC-J5330DW Inkjet Printer from Brother which offers printing, scanning, copying, and faxing. The core printing features include a high 4800 x 1200 dpi resolution, the ability to handle documents up to 11 x 17″, and speeds of 22 ppm in black and 20 ppm in color. This combined with built-in Wi-Fi allows for setting up with an easy connection and the ability to work directly from a mobile device.
For the other functions, an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed with an optical resolution of 2400 x 1200 dpi can scan, copy, and fax your documents. A 50-sheet ADF is present for batch jobs. General paper handling is available through either a 250-sheet standard tray or a 1-sheet bypass. Additionally, a 2.7″ touchscreen LCD is present for intuitive control along with USB 2.0 and Ethernet ports for wired connectivity.

Only draw back is a bit of noise, which for us is not a problem with it installed in another room. Have not been able to do two sided scans of two sided documents without having to manually turn the paper.

No sure why they include the cartridges. I already had to order all 4 since the color cartridges were completely empty. I was told the original cartridges are only good for the initial set up but how do I know if it’s printing properly if there is not enough ink to even print a test page? Not the way I would service a customer. Hopefully it works ok, I will know tomorrow then my ink gets delivered. My cost increase by 50% since it cartridges were empty.

Printer works well with a few exceptions: 1. printing envelops does not work very well, even when envelop goes down to “beep” 2. Two sided color pages seem to hang up each time and the sheets are almost wet. 3. seems to be hard to dislodge a page further printing – not sure if it is the printer or the computer.

I have purchased a number of Brother printers over the years past and have always found them reliable and ready when needed. I have only had this printer for a few weeks. So far it is performing well. I have yet to try to take old photos and convert them to digitized pictures using the MFC J5330DW. That is my next project. I hope they will be as good as the printer seems to be.

The printer does everything it’s supposed to, except stay connected via wireless connection. Each time I print (after a day or two) I have to go to the setup wizard and remind it what network it’s on!! I only have one network!! Also, despite installing the full package of software AND updating to ensure everything is current, I’m still having problems with the printer driver. It offers a bunch of drivers, but the default is a generic driver, which doesn’t allow two sided printing. Changing the driver is a hassle, as it keeps going back to the default driver!!!

Love the printer – does everything but I must say it lacks in user friendly software. In my opinion the best user friend software comes with the HP 8700 series. Easy to use and manipulate. Easy to find issues to questions. I am sorry that Brother does not have a way to connect and take over system to solve probles.
