Keep your home and office organized with this PT-D210 Portable Label Maker from Brother. Featuring standalone operation, this unit will allow users to easily create a variety of different labels quickly and efficiently. One-touch keys allow for fast formatting and it can work with the TZe tape family in sizes up to 0.47″ x 26.2′. Printing is quick as well with a max speed of 0.8″ per second and 27 templates will help you get started typing and printing in no time.
The PT-D210 offers a 1-line, 15-character LCD for previewing labels and a QWERTY keyboard for typing. It allows for labels up to 2 lines and it has a 30 label memory for reprinting. Also, it uses thermal print technology and a manual cutter. Power is provided by either 6 x AAA batteries or an optional AC adapter.

This Brother – PT-D210 works very well, as long as you have an excess amount of tape and batteries stored away. 1st – When printing, there is an excess of 3/4″ in front and back of the lettering, even if your printing a label of 1 character. For me this is a huge waste of tape. I called Brothers and they indicated there is not adjustment for this waste. 2nd – The battery life does not last long at all. I’ve tried different types of batteries, still they die out super fast. Yes they are new batteries. Instructions are very difficult to follow and understand. Not user friendly. After reading and trying to make head and tales out of things, is when I had to call customer service for help. Just to receive feedback that there isn’t any adjustment in the length of wasted tape and no recommendations for the shortage of battery life. But was recommended to purchase another item that plugs into the wall. How convenient is that, especially when you may be carrying this around the house or business. The store I purchase it from would not take it back as it has been to long since the purchase date, now I’m stuck with an item I do not want. I would NOT recommend this to others unless you know about these issues that I have ran into. It works great, but very wasteful, have extra batteries, because it will stop working when you need it most.

As a teacher, I have used a Brothers Label Maker for years. One of my colleagues must have liked it so much also, they forgot to return it! So I bought a new one and the tape cartridge is much easier to replace on the updated version. I love the newer keyboard features as it is “friendlier” to my arthritic hands.
