So far I love this labeler. I do a lot of labeling for IT work and have used the less expensive labelers as well as the high end labelers designed for IT work. This beats them all. With the ablility to connect to my PC and use different size label tape this takes care of every possible labeling need I could have. Very happy!

I saw a PT-D600 in a local office supply store one day while browsing. I ordered one online just to have around the house. Now I can’t put it down. I have found dozens of needs for it. What was I thinking not to have purchased one years ago? The pc connection is awesome for making custom labels with icons. What a step up from the old dial-a-letter labeler I had back in high school.

The Brother-PT-D600 is very easy to use and makes keeping organized so much easier. I don’t know how I ever did without it before.

This labeler has made my business life and home life work so much better. It is easy to use and gives you many added features you can use to personalize your labels. This would be a great machine to have as a parent with young children. You can go around the house and label things for your child to read. And the prices range from one end to another, that makes it possible for anyone to purchase one. I love that my labeler was easy to connect to my computer, making it easy for me to type the labels on my computer and send the image to my machine! The best investment I have made for my business.

My chief complaint at this time is the 2D Data Matrix Barcode does not decode the serial number correctly. The S (seial number) identifier does not decode correctly. This can only be verified with a validation tool. During my testing of the barcode 1P (part number) and 17V (CAGE) decode correctly. This is a show stopper for me. My second complaint is that it only has a .13″ wide non-laminated tape…??? I need .5″ non-laminated tape. I was expecting to use the the PT-D600 to print labels from a database and discovered that I would waste .5″ laminated labels on address labels. Yet another show stopper. My third complaint is the wastefulness of the labels when not connected to the PC. Feeding extra tape with nothing being printed is unacceptable. Not to mention the leader being an inch longer than necessary. Using the PC connection kind of helps in this regard. I agree with other posts noting that the usability of the labler and pc software is cumbersome and not as user friendly.

Since I retired I have been organizing my garage and the Brother PT-D600 has been the perfect tool for me to label everything.

When I first started using this I had trouble with the tape getting wadded up inside the machine. This could have been operator error. However, after using many times the machine works great!

I immediately liked my Brother PT-D600 Label Maker. The extraordinary VARIETY of tape widths, colors and types has resulted in my using the PT-D600 for just about ALL of my label needs. I do have several other label makers, but I can use the PT-D600 with my computer and that is FAST!!! I would gladly recommend this product to each of my friends. It is almost certain that they, too, would find it to be an absolutely outstanding label maker. Therefore, I am very pleased to give this product FIVE STARS.

We purchased this model to replace a 10-yr-old model that was having issues with the Power button, but otherwise worked great. Very happy with this new model, even though we don’t use ALL of the features! Would appreciate an easier way to open/replace label cartridges. This model is a bit clunky/awkward to open, compared to our old one.

simple to use and really like the feature for continuous printing/cutting – not cutting each label seperately since it saves a not of expensive tape

I use the very basic. Some of the instructions are not clear enough to apply. I’m not very good with computers and most of it is Greek to me.

My machine works great as long as I use the 1″ EZ tapes. However, when I use the .5″ tapes they binds in every time in the machine. I have complained to Brother and you gave me new .47 mm tapes. Those too jam and bind up in the machine. I have complained a second time and have requested a new machine. It has been 5 days but still haven’t heard from Brother yet. I was told I’d get a an email when my replacement shipped. However, I haven’t heard anything yet. Hope to hear from Brother by tomorrow.

Once I figured out what all of the keys can do, the label machine is fairly easy to use. It’s somewhat confusing and overwhelming for the first few days because the keys can do so much. I’ve found the software you install on your computer to be much more friendly and user friendly to operate the labeller. Plus the device really doesn’t cost that much once you realize how much it can do. However, just like printer ink, the cost of the label cartridges add up, especially if you buy different types of tape. Buying five or so cartridges will equal the cost of the machine.

This label maker is disappointing in a couple of areas. In the size of your fonts it skips sizes. There is no happy medium for making file labels. My file label end up either being too large due to the length of my titles or too small to read in order to fit the tab. Also, this label maker wastes way too much tape! I was am not happy with this label maker as it does not fit my needs at work but as the company paid for it, I cannot complain or return it and they will not pay for another type or brand. I do like, however, that it will run off of AC adapter or batteries.
