Purchased unit, on initial power up video was horizontally striped. Tried using unit however stripping created eye discomfort. Features very similar to PT2700 that is 15 years older, expected improvements in interface and functionality, little discernable differences

I needed a label system that is able to do multiple and different types of labels. After looking at various systems, I decided on the PT-D600. So far, it has exceeded my expectations!

I have not had a lot of opportunity to use the machine but when I do it is easy to use and produces great labels.

I owned my first P-touch for 7 years before it needed replacing. I had a Neon Sign Business and labeled so many things it was amazing! So when I needed to replace my first one it was a no braner to purchase another brother product! I Love my New P-touch PT-D600, it has so many New features than my first P-touch! Thank You brother for your Great Products!!!

By far the best out on the market for the price!!! A ton of features and labels that are made are second to none. I looked and looked for a label maker for months bouncing back and forth between different makers on the market And I settled for this one. So glad I did this thing has feature I have not even used yet but AC/DC power and able to hook it up to your PC is great.. Highly recommend this maker if your in the market.

Purchased this label maker to replace my old Brother handheld one because I needed one that had more features, like printing up to 1″ wide tapes. Bought a vast array of tapes so far from 1/4″ to 1″ size tapes. There’s a pretty good learning curve, but once you find the font and size print that you like, you are pretty much good to go. Some people complain that there is wasted tape when you print something but this can be fixed with a simple setting, just go on the Brother web site. All in all I’m very satisfied with this label maker. And as usual the service at B&H was impeccable as always.

This product is very easy to use. The software for the computer makes it even easier. We are really enjoying our label maker.

I like the label maker, but I’m still trying to figure out some features on it . It does what they say, snazzy labels, professional looking!

The only hangup I have is the requirement to hit ok for the number of copies. Pain in the neck.

Grab and type convenience plus PC connected flexibility means this model really gives you the best of both worlds. It’s a little larger than lower model number units with built in keyboards from their current lineup, but also much smaller than the older Brother label makers of the 90’s-2000’s. Has an automatic tape cutter, which is great for big jobs when making multiple copies of the same label. My ONE gripe is the graphical interface. Well, it’s actually 2 gripes: First, there aren’t a ton of features built in to the graphical interface on the machine. But, you can still get most things done on the device without using a computer. I can tell this was intentional to keep the unit easy to use, but I wish I could do everything the app does on the unit itself without turning on a computer. But that would be a LOT to ask. When creating a label on the device, you have to select a standard format template, which may not match your desired label style. You can’t add your own templates and when you store PC created labels on the unit, you’re limited to 9 pre-designed labels that you can recall and print, but they can’t be edited or modified from the device itself. The storage of 99 labels on the device is referring to labels that were CREATED on the device. Second: The display is not high resolution by any means, and there are glossy reflective lines that show up in it. This is the same type of LCD that you see on older paper printers from a decade ago. However again, in their defense, the screen doesn’t waste a bunch of power, so if you’re using batteries, this display keeps them from getting drained too quickly. Also the display does still lend to a true “what you see is what you get” printing environment, so that’s a plus. All in all, a very well rounded unit that gives you the features of both the PT-P700 as well as the on-device features of the PT-D2xx/4xx models, plus some, with the ability to print up to 24mm.

Took two tries to get a good printer. Had to take the first purchase back to the retailer since it wouldn’t connect with PC correctly (even with tech support help). Tech support was very helpful and did what they could but determined that I should return the device. Decided to give it one more try and exchanged for the same device and the second one, worked well with no trouble interfacing with computer. P-touch Editor is basic, but not intuitive so there is a learning curve in learning how to edit labels. Prints labels really well. Would be nice if there were larger width options for labels. Max is .94″ 1.5″ would be better…

I have been using Brother labelers for well over 20 years, this is my fourth unit, so I consider them to be an excellent investment. They have all worked well and with PC connectability have become extremely versital.

Upgraded from Windows 10 64bit to Windows 11 and now my PTD600 Label Printer will not work. I continuously get USB error messages and Brother has done nothing to issue a printer driver specifically for Windows 11.

Great Label maker but it wastes a lot of tape at the beginning and end of each label. I thought my old one wasted a lot, but this one double it.

The PT600 does a very noce job of printing. I like that you can use your computer to design labels. It would be much more usable if the “built-in” labels were templates so that you could change the information to suit your needs.

The hardware works nearly perfectly. I do get tired of losing 3/4″ of tape for every label I print but I can just print multiple labels at a time to prevent that. I am not fond of the 6″ limit and lose out on some “fancy features”. Sure would be handy to have a “cut” button for when the tape does not cut when it is done printing. Then there is the PTouch software (Mac version) which can do some things the hardware alone cannot. BUT it is buggy and not everything works as advertised. The pesky 6″ limit can occasionally be overcome; The cursor keys do not always work; Text editing is hit or miss; Select All sometimes does not. Overall I like it, and am learning to work around the limits. I am quite happy I bought it.
