The Brother QL-800 High-Speed Professional Label Printer allows you to print black and red labels using DK-2251 or cost-effective paper labels for packages, envelopes, file folders, name badges, postage, and more. It can print up to 93 standard address labels per minute, with black text at 300 dpi. An auto cutter allows for printing one or multiple labels at a time, eliminating wasted label sheets.
The "Plug & Label" feature supports quick label printing of basic labels, which does not require software installation for Windows computers. The P-touch Editor software for Windows and Mac lets you customize your labels. You can also print from Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. When using genuine Brother DK drop-in rolls, you do not need ink or toner.

I initially bought the QL-800 because it was an inexpensive thermal printer and I am starting a home-based business on the cheap. With just using the sample rolls of labels and tape, I was very impressed with the quality printing and ability to have red too, instead of just black on the labels. It’s very easy to swap out the roll for tape or labels.

A convenient way to print labels one or a few at a time without wasting a whole sheet. It’s a little on the bulky side, but not too bad.

Love this thing. Easy to set up, print quality is great, it even travels well in a carry-on because it’s so small. I use it primarily to create big labels for hard drives; fits perfectly on mobile external drives.

This is not like the other label printers we have. I cannot figure out how to set up and it take special paper. Collecting dust currently!

Perfect printer if you want to use Linus or TAILS. It isn’t on the list of NSA printers so it has great security. No one should be forced to have Big Brother watching them.

it’s so much nicer using an actual computer to create the labels vs the handheld units. being able to save labels and change the fonts make this far superior
