The Brother QL-800 High-Speed Professional Label Printer allows you to print black and red labels using DK-2251 or cost-effective paper labels for packages, envelopes, file folders, name badges, postage, and more. It can print up to 93 standard address labels per minute, with black text at 300 dpi. An auto cutter allows for printing one or multiple labels at a time, eliminating wasted label sheets.
The "Plug & Label" feature supports quick label printing of basic labels, which does not require software installation for Windows computers. The P-touch Editor software for Windows and Mac lets you customize your labels. You can also print from Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. When using genuine Brother DK drop-in rolls, you do not need ink or toner.

The two color system is a pleasure to work with and the bar code function makes it so much easier for inventory control

Worst label maker ever … spent endless time trying to take apart the label spooler after needless time trying decided to return. Not compatible with other labels – so not able to use colour labels from Uline for colour coding file system.

I’m very pleased with the QL-800 and the technical support department. Also purchased DK-3235 labels when I purchased the printer. I’m not satisfied with the labels. Using them on Avery 12201 string tags. They don’t adhere well and peel off easily. The adhesive is not strong enough.

This unit was easy to set up and use. We went from hand writing 60+ envelopes a week to using the address labels.

The device is simple and just works. The P-Touch editor is effective and easy to use if you have experience with just about any word processing application.

I am a volunteer at my church who is responsible for addressing and sending out birthday, anniversary, and get well cards to our members. The software that came with the QL-800 allows me to enter the address once and then use it again as needed. And the quality of the printed labels is wonderful.

Had a computer issue and I need to reinstall. Searching for the manual and software download is a nightmare! If I could return it I would! I also had to reinstall my HP printer. It was very simple, everything I need was available and easy to use.

I could have used better “getting started” guidance. I am gradually learning learning but I had a heck of a time getting started! But I’m old! Also, I don’t buy the advice to remove label stock from printer when not in use. You waste a label every time you do that. I just leave it in as long as I will be using several times a day. I found the “import function” and I will eventually learn how to direct the database to various formats. Fun.

Works great, especially for individual or short runs of labels. I stopped buying sheet labels and wasting half of them.

Not user friendly and the labels are poor quality.

It took a little time to get the hang of it. The manual was of little help. But once you become familiar with it, you have to love it. I never knew that a printer could have continues feed. No longer limited to a pre determined length. Really a great feature.K

I already had a QL-550 which I really like so I wanted an upgrade with the color printing option. I am pretty proficient on computers and printers but I have never been able to print in color so I do not use it I went back to my old QL-550. It does do a nice job on regular labels and is very well made as all Brothers printers. Good idea but only 3 stars since it’s no more useful than the QL-550
