The Brother QL-800 High-Speed Professional Label Printer allows you to print black and red labels using DK-2251 or cost-effective paper labels for packages, envelopes, file folders, name badges, postage, and more. It can print up to 93 standard address labels per minute, with black text at 300 dpi. An auto cutter allows for printing one or multiple labels at a time, eliminating wasted label sheets.
The "Plug & Label" feature supports quick label printing of basic labels, which does not require software installation for Windows computers. The P-touch Editor software for Windows and Mac lets you customize your labels. You can also print from Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. When using genuine Brother DK drop-in rolls, you do not need ink or toner.

Totally love my Brother QL-800 and found it to be very easy to set up and operate, exceedingly easy to load with stamp rolls.

I was unable to get the printer to install on my ASUS laptop. Tech support was slow (days) and not at all helpful. I gave up and installed on my Dell desktop. Had a problem with P-Touch software, update caused it to abort. I’m now running successfully without the update. As I say, great label printer once you get it working. I have two older models installed in Non-Profit organizations that I support as a volunteer. Had a similar problem two years ago. I’m very satisfied with the hardware, not so the software and support Brother’s offers. As far as B&H order fulfillment is concerned, I give them 5 stars every time. I’ve never had a problem with any order placed with them.

I really like this printer. It performs excellently and is easy to use and the pages come out perfectly.

In my law office, addressing envelopes was always a hassle because laser printers don’t handle envelopes well and you have to open the back of them so the envelope will go straight through. This device makes it easy to put the address on the envelope, directly from Word. The labels look professional and are easy to print.

I like brother products, if you keep a history you can see that I have purchased at least 6 other desktop printers, and some are no longer being supported. I love my QL-800 as the output looks great! There was a bit of a learning curve to get the size of the label I needed, but after a few tries, I can print most labels without a problem and not waste the paper as I did in the beginning. Perhaps the software could be a bit easier to use?

There is essentially no software for the Mac to operate this label printer. It does not integrate with the address book making it nearly worthless. Stay clear of this product.

I guess I expected a label printer where I could determine the label, but had to select from a menu of labels which were not what I wanted. I did have lots of problems getting the printer to print, mainly because it needed to have selected the label loaded in the printer and there was no markings on the labels to identify them, not even the labels supplied with the printer. Does print well.

Excellent label printer for mailing labels of both sizes. Two color makes it a nice bonus, too.

Replaced an older QL560. Works great. Would recommend. Also have one at work. I like the way the lable program works and it was easy to setup.

I found it difficult to set up a label with the multi colors. Forget trying to change existing labels. Had to redo all of my templates. I’m an engineer and understand the concept, but I went back to black n white labels. The manual could be updated to actually show how to create a colored label. Not impressed with P-touch editor.

Great features but I can’t get it to print in red.

I really like the printer but do not like the way the address book works. It is very hard to work in, it doesn’t feel like it works with the label printing. I can’t figure out how to print a file label with name only from my address book.

Labels are very neat. So easy to stay organized with this right at your fingertips. Great for business use or personal use. Set up was super easy and fast. Well worth the money.

The Brother QL-800 is an excellent label maker with a very good selection of label types and sizes. The printer is fast and provides great looking labels. I previously had to unload all of the paper from my regular printer to address envelopes, but that didn’t work for larger envelopes and packages. I now have great looking address labels for my envelopes and packages. Another good feature is the software is embedded in the printers memory. I have only one complaint and that is the embedded software does not allow taking advantage of the Black, Red, and White labels. I get a warning in order to print with red I must install PTouch Editor. I already have PTouch Editor that I use for my awesome PT1960 label printer, but it doesn’t recognize my new QL-800.

Well, It must be me but I’m having a hard time doing anything. When I try to print something the machine tells me I have the wrong paper. I suppose if I bought enough different rolls of paper I could find a label to print but those things are pricy and I just bought this for home use. However I think this is a good machine if you knew how to use it but it’s not right for me.
