The black-on-white Brother TZeS231 with ExtraStrength Adhesive for P-Touch Labelers measures 1/2″ x 26.2′. The extrastrength adhesive is designed for use in harsh environments and can be used on textured, rough, or uneven surfaces. Additionally, the tape can be used on slippery, painted metal items and powder-coated surfaces. The tape is designed for the following printers:

I only purchased this because it was so cheap and i was looking for a label maker—-however the instructions are difficult to follow. Further I tried to telephone to BROTHER (The manufacturer) but this BROTHER company has terrible telephone support service. Let me re-phrase that. If you can get someone they are great—however in most cases it is just so difficult to get anyone to pick up a telephone down there.

I use this tape whenever I can find it. It’s tough, including withstanding dishwashers, being left outside and more. It’s pretty much my standard labeling tape. Can’t always find it, but when I do, I buy a handful of cartridges.

I use the Brother extra-strength label tape for almost everything because it sticks so effectively. For outdoor use, it’s the best thing I’ve found – I’ve had labels on the outside of my mailbox door that have been there more than 5 years. Also use it to place name labels for some plants (e.g. roses) on metal placards next to each one, because it lasts and is a whole lot easier than trying to engrave the placards. Only downside is that it is fairly expensive, but the B&H price helps that.
