I had very high expectations from the Dock but it actually is more sensitive than I thought. It happens that I move around my desk and nudge it or move it a bit, and very easily the dock gets detached from laptop and everything shuts off. I then need to restrengthen the connection and it takes a few more seconds until all is back to normal, but a very annoying little detail.

The pictures does not do the product justice. The base is made from sturdy metal alloy. I thought it was plastic from the pictures. The design is clean and everything works as advertised. Very satisfied. Well worth the investment!!! The cables I purchased also were a great value and are high quality.

Sturdy build. Simple design. Bummed there isn’t an audio connection built-in. However, happy to have it not buried in the doc. Overall the dock seems to be a quality build. It’s early on so we shall see.

Great dock for the MacBook and very happy with it. Nicely built, fits very well on my desk which is a space saver and looks great. Works very well, too. I have it connected with one USB-C to a multiport hub, replicating network, monitor and power with room for additional peripherals when needed.

Docking is not as smooth and easy as it can be. At this price, you would think this was engineered to dock smoothly but you have to guide it carefully to dock and align such that the usb-c charger meets up perfectly. Another way this could have been improved would be to add an LED indicator to let you know it’s charging. The idea of this dock is great. Unfortunately, the design and build is just average in execution.

Had the previous dock for a MacBook when the company was branded differently, and the new brydge branded dock is an upgrade over the previous by far. Most notably, being able to detach the base and its noticeably easier to insert the device and align the usb-c form factor without feeling like you are scratching your laptop up or breaking something when you miss. Now the dock guides the laptop in perfectly, at least with my MacBook Pro (Pre-M1). I use this with an LG thunderbolt 3 monitor without issue. Highly recommend, the finish and build quality are what you’d expect to match your Apple gear.

Really beautiful design which cleans up your desk. BUT, it slows down the ports of the MacBook Pro. Connect my OWC envoy pro ex directly to my computer gives me 3363 MB/s write speed and 2773 MB/s read speed, passing it through Caldigit Element hub doesn’t effect the speed but through the Brydge vertical dock I only get 1091 MB/s write speed and 2346 MB/s read speed. That’s not even 1/3 of the possible read speed of this disk. NOT okey for such a expensive product.

I had problems juggling a work laptop and a personal laptop while working from home. I got one dock for each macbook, and now my life is a breeze. If i want to sit at the table, i just pull out my laptop, never touching 1 wire. I put it back just as easy. Looks really clean on my desk. I also added a KVM switch to effortlessly switch between computers sith the push of a button. Combined with my new wireless mouse and keyboard, my desk setup quickly went from complete garbo to god-tier in just one week. Considering the amount of time i spend at my desk (12 hrs/day) its well worth it! I also have this KVM switch. Whenever i press the yellow button, it switches with ease One for my personal laptop, and one for my work laptop! I
