Enjoy comfortable typing and enhanced productivity with the Brydge 12.3 Pro+ Wireless Backlit Keyboard with Trackpad for Surface Pro. This black aluminum keyboard is designed to fit onto Surface Pro 7, 6, 5, and 4 tablet computers with an adjustable 180° hinge and a wireless Bluetooth 5.0 connection that converts the device into a laptop for fast typing and touchpad control. For added convenience, the lightweight keyboard features three levels of backlighting to increase visibility in darkened environments. Using the keyboard with the backlight on provides about 40 hours of battery life, and it can be recharged through the USB Type-C port using the included cable. The keyboard doubles as a slim protective cover, allowing you to quickly pack up your Surface Pro when traveling.

The look and feel of the Brydge 12.3 Pro+ are good but the rubber clamps that hold on to the screen are super tight, applying a little pressure that causes discoloration. Returned the one I ordered because of this issue which could cause future damage to the screen.

The first Brydge 12.3 Pro+ keyboard that I received had a problem. After describing the problem to their support staff, they sent me a replacement keyboard that arrived in two days. The new one works perfectly. It was really great and how their support staff took care of the issue right away, and I really like my new device. So much better than having the thing fall over while using a type cover and kickstand.

Love this keyboard for my Surface Pro 6. Much better then the normal cover that the Surface Pro 6 comes with. I love that it now feels more like a laptop rather then just a tablet. The battery life on this thing is for ever and a day with pretty moderate typing all day. The keys are smooth and response is great. I love that now I can use the Surface Pro 6 on my lap and not have to fight the stand. Great Work!!

There is literally no protective case compatible with this configuration for daily use. Why not make a protective case similar to the iPad version?

Battery life sucks, even with it closed I’m not getting the advertised battery life, not even making it through the weekend with it only actually in use for a few hours. Besides that, the build quality is nice, it types ok, the screen slips around a bit more than I’d like. But the weight seems nice. I’m working with the support team, we’ll see if they fix the issue or replace it with a working device, will try and update after that

I initially bought a Byrdge keyboard for my Google Slate. It enhanced my tablet experience so much, I started thinking about my Surface. I love the machine, but it absolutely doesn’t work as a laptop, as it takes up far too much space. Now with the Brydge keyboard it is way more comfortable it use and I’m more likely to use it. I love that the keyboard matches the Surface so well! It’s beautiful and elegant and is a joy to use. It was more than I would have liked to spent, but it is well, well worth it.

Excellent quality. Trackpad is great. Feel of the keys is so much better than the Microsoft surface cover. The look and feel is excellent. It loses a star because there is no way to either boot up the computer to default to the function keys and there is no FN lock. I use the function keys significantly more than I use the volume adjustments, screen brightness and such. Having said that, I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought this keyboard almost a year ago to replace my surface keyboard. Having to use the kickstand limited the number of safe places I could use the surface keyboard, so it was a welcome change. In general I love this keyboard, except for a few things: (1) I ABSOLUTELY HATE how the keyboard automatically turns off after a few minutes, and there is no way to disable it that I’ve seen. I do a lot of work that requires me to use my wireless mouse, and not my keyboard, so it is annoying and VERY laggy when I try to turn it on again and have to wait for it to reconnect. I feel like I lose so much productivity because of this. I may need to suddenly type some things while searching, and I can’t tell if its on or off. (2) The power indicator system is pretty dumb, an it isn’t always immediately clear whether it is on or not. I can’t tell if it has timed out or died half of the time. (3) After awhile the part that holds your laptop up is less secure, but it is still more secure than the click into place surface keyboards. (4) I don’t think my track pad works. I can’t tell if it just doesn’t work because I have an external mouse connected, but it definitely doesn’t ever override it, which is weird because it doesn’t even work when I connect the external mouse through USB. IT should be able to override it and I should be able tot use it, especially let’s say I pass my computer to someone to quickly use, It’s very annoying for them to not be able to use the track pad and then THEY become frustrated and I have to hand them the mouse. Over all it is a good concept, and I was super pumped to purchase it. However, for what it costs it should perform A LOT better, and it would have been simple to do some of those things that make it more user-friendly.

This is an ideal product since it has the true functionality in a sturdy keyboard ( not like the flimsy tablet add-ons). If you do lots of typing, this is what you need. Easy to affix … and it stays and also pivots just like a full laptop. And then when you want to just use your Surface Pro, take it off. Super simple. Also a no-brainer to set up even for a novice like me. So pleased to be part of the Beta program to try this out.
