Makes my surface pro 4 much more useful in many situations. The keyboard has a great feel, and the track pad works as well as Microsoft’s. The only drawback is the keyboard loses connection when idle for a while and takes a little time to reconnect. Not a dealbreaker at all, but it’s a little inconvenient. Strongly recommended product.

The keyboard is the best yet and this is my third Surface

This keyboard is exactly what my Surface needed! Makes it a legitimate laptop. Highly recommend!

I’ve had this unit for a couple of weeks now. I use this on the go and there’s a lot about this unit I really like, a couple of things that could use some improving, and some things I’d like to see them do to this type of keyboard that would make it outstanding. Overall though, I do like this keyboard. I like that it’s weighted in such a way that it will hold my surface pro 7 like a laptop. That’s something I never quite liked about the Microsoft keyboard. The down side is it does add weight and thickness. The one “issue” I’ve had with this keyboard is with the connection. This unit connects to my surface via Bluetooth and because of this connection type there are times that it doesn’t automatically connect to my surface and times where when it has connected the responsiveness of the mouse is less than acceptable. However, there have also been times where the mouse has impressed me. This aspect seems to be hit and miss. I’m sure there’s a really good reason companies can’t use the physical connection on the bottom of the Surface, but if they could, I know it would fix this issue. I also wish the power wasn’t turned on by pressing keys on the keyboard; I wish it were an actual switch. The reason is I’ve had the keyboard turn on while in my backpack thus turning on my surface which drains the battery. If it was a switch, this would be less likely. A couple of things I’d love to see them do with this unit are build a battery into the unit that can be connected to the surface for external power and a slot for a Micro SD for external memory expansion. Since I’m on the go all the time I have to carry an additional battery pack with me. Having a keyboard with a battery built in would be nice. I know it’ll add more weight but would totally be worth it as I already have to carry the external battery along with the keyboard. If it had the battery, the connection would most likely be connected via the USB-C on the Surface Pro 7 but connecting through proprietary port would work too and both would allow for charging and either a connection for an external SD card reader or additional USB/USB-C ports. All around I’m happy with this purchase and do recommend it. The one thing that really keeps me from giving a full 5 stars is due to the mouse trackpad being hit and miss with it’s responsiveness, but again, that’s to be expected with anything over BT.

Turns the Surface Pro into a useable laptop vice having to use the stand on a flat surface.

I have a Surface Pro 6 and I found connecting the keyboard to the Surface was not very intuitive. I also have a Surface keyboard but I do not like the keys and the trackpad so I wanted to see if yours was better. The keys and the trackpad were better but the bluetooth connection issues and running our of charge were too much to overcome. I guess I will stick with the Surface keyboard.

If you have a Surface with Windows 10, DO NOT buy this device. The device has serious problems being recognized by Windows. I have made the company aware of issues and I do not have any replies with any fixes. I also have 2 other Brydge keyboards for iPads and they are great. But when you try to make a Brydge work with Windows, you will be more frustrated than satisfied.

Fast delivery, easy to set up and made my Pro into a laptop

The Brydge Keyboard changed my experience with this 2-in-one. It’s an attractive product with amazing functionality, great battery, amazing feel, and i can use my surface comfortably on my lap now! I’ve always been curious about brydge products since purchasing my surface, and the beta program gave me the opportunity to see the hype for myself. I Highly recommend this product.

No issues with connectivity. This keyboard has made my Surface Pro 6 a fully functional Work from Home laptop. I had problems with the Surface keyboard and stand occasionally falling on me while using a lap desk. No more! I find myself preferring to use this keyboard over the MS type pad attachment.

I ordered two of these for my ipad, one for me and one for a co-worker. Within the first 2hr my co-workers hinge broke. Mine broke about about 1 month after I got it. And of course it wasn’t covered by the warranty

Keyboard works great and feels like my surface is a full laptop. I can easily change keyboards based on situation. This one covers the gap if I want to use it on my lap and not have the odd flap that works better on a desk. would definitely buy again on another surface or Ipad

Overall, it is a really great product and serves its purpose almost perfectly. only two things stand out to me that could use some attention. The TouchPad can be a little late sometimes and the joints seem to not close all the when I want to close my surface. Other than that the product is almost flawless. I especially love that it is lightweight and doesn’t add a whole lot of extra weight.

from the ability to now use my surface pro on my lap; to a backlit keyboard – this truly converts the surface into a laptop while keeping the ability to use it as a tablet. While a tad on the heavier side (and I will have to weigh traveling with it vs the mircosoft keyboard) but seems sturdy enough to handle the wear and tear. I only sad that it took almost a year to find this product!

My Brydge keyboard makes my Surface pro 7 much more lapable. Typing on the keyboard is quite good. Battery life so far is excellent.

This is what I’ve been looking for. There’s nothing else like it in the market. The design is amazing and it’s not too heavy. It’s perfect!

Great solution for making the Surface pro feel like a clamshell. Track pad is excellent.

I have always believed that one of the biggest setbacks of the Surface Type Cover was the inability to use the surface on your lap. Everyone knows, if you want to use the kickstand to prop the Surface up on your leg, it is quite painful. This new Brydge 12.3 Pro+ keyboard is a great alternative to those who don’t always have a large workspace to utilize, need more support for their laptop, and actually want to use it on their lap. The added heft along with the largest track pad you can find for a Surface Pro make it feel much closer to an actual laptop. The Bluetooth also works seamlessly and reconnects to the Surface almost instantly if you switch back and forth between keyboards. However, there are some setbacks to this year’s keyboard. The keyboard deck is made with plastic that is a bit uncomfortable to type on and leaves a large amount of flex in the keyboard which can cause a lot of vibration when typing; this gets very tiring after 30 minutes of typing. The weight of the keyboard is also not enough to support the Surface beyond 110 degrees when sitting on your lap, thus causing it to flip over. If Brydge had opted for an all metal keyboard, i don’t think i’d ever use a surface type cover again. Ultimately, I find this is a great keyboard to use if you are someone who is often on the go and needs lap-ability but there is definitely still some area for improvement.

When it works and stays connected, it’s fine. Big downside is its weight. Even bigger downside is it is impossible to connect to my Surface. Not sure what is going on, or if I got a faulty product.

The Brydge pro 12.3 is great in most every way that doesn’t involve working when you need it. The keyboard itself is great to type on, and the trackpad has increased in size dramatically from the previous version and, with gesture support, rivals the Microsoft surface keyboard. The problem is that it is always a crap shoot as to whether the keyboard will actually wake when I hit a key, around 80 percent of the time it doesn’t. If i don’t use my surface for more than few hours the keyboard fails to reconnect in anyway. The only fix is to completely remove and re-add the keyboard when this happens. I really like design, it’s easy to use and fits the surface perfectly, but this iteration is definitely being returned and I’m going back to the original 12.3 or Microsoft signature until the next product refresh.
