Enjoy comfortable typing and enhanced productivity with the Brydge 12.3 Pro+ Wireless Backlit Keyboard with Trackpad for Surface Pro. This black aluminum keyboard is designed to fit onto Surface Pro 7, 6, 5, and 4 tablet computers with an adjustable 180° hinge and a wireless Bluetooth 5.0 connection that converts the device into a laptop for fast typing and touchpad control. Just got the keyboard today. Was really looking forward to it to replace my dead surface type keyboard since the last windows update. Was easy to setup and pair the device to my surface pro 4. Feels like a Surface Book rather than a Surface tablet, but now has dual usage which i really like. The one drawback that i found and is starting to really annoy me is that I can’t swap the function keys to act like the real function keys when working with Excel, Word etc. I have to use the FN key and then the function key that i want. For this reason i may be returning it and looking for another keyboard that gives me that option. Would have been nice to have some installed software for this product that would able to do some custom setups, or if there was a firmware update that would give this functionality for swapping the F keys for normal usage. Other than that, looks and feels great, weight is fine, more durable than some of the other flimsy ones that i have seen.

The keyboard itself feels wonderful to type on and it attaches really easily and securely to my surface pro but the track pad stopped working all of a sudden today with no damage having been done to the keyboard. I’ve disconnected the device and reconnected it. I restarted it. I restarted my computer. But it seems to be fully kaput. Really disappointing because I no longer have my previous keyboard as I liked this one so much I got rid of it.

I absolutely love this product. I really grew to hate the fact that I couldn’t use my surface pro as a actual clamshell laptop, and this keyboard is the perfect solution. It looks beautiful, it’s a perfect fit, and it feels and handles very high quality. I will say the keyboard and the surface pro are on the heavy side, but all the benefits are well worth that slight drawback.

I like the feel of the keyboard typing. Surface fits snugly – no risk of it accidentally slipping out. Hinge stiff enough to hold well but not so stiff that it’s hard to open or close. Love it!

Would have given it a higher rating but the keyboard comes with a charger and with a wall plug in. It’s USB-C so I had to buy a new one since it didn’t fit any of the boxes I had. Very disappointing. It also doesn’t come fully charged out of the box.

Finish is great. Functionality is okay. Lags a bit (frequently). Construction is mostly sturdy. Hinges are losing slight grip on the screen in only a couple of weeks.

I’ve been using the brydge 12.3+ since it’s release. I had a screen protector and D brand vinyl skin on my surface pro 7 and it required some effort to get it into place. It was tight but it didn’t seem to cause any discoloration of the screen but after awhile I noticed it was clamping hard enough to cause the screen edges to warp from the pressure. After 8 months or so the middle of my touchscreen stopped working and I can only imagine it was due to the clamps on the keyboard as I have babied this laptop. This is not a flaw of the keyboard it was my own fault as it was designed for the exact dimensions of the surface pro without the added screen protector and vinyl backing. I have since been given a replacement surface pro as I returned it under warranty and with no vinyl skin or screen protector on the surface pro, it slides in like butter and doesn’t cause excessive clamping pressure. I will say that I notice my screen gets distorted at the edges if closing the device with the keyboard attached (opening is not issue as the pressure is placed on the aluminum on the back). I will update if I have any more issues but I love the keyboard and being able to use the surface as fully realized laptop compared to the flimsy Microsoft keyboard and kickstand combo is quite nice. I have owned the Microsoft keyboard and this brydge and I much prefer the brydge.

Let me start off by saying that I absolutely adore this keyboard! I was lucky enough to have been chosen as a beta tester for the Pro+ 12.3 and this thing works amazingly on my Surface Pro 6! I’m used to the keyboard that was designed by Microsoft for the Surface and, while it works, I don’t like using the built-in kickstand as I often use my computer on my lap. The Brydge fixes this completely! It’s super easy to attach and detach, so if you like handwriting notes too this is perfect for you. My only complaint is that it makes my Surface a bit heavy as the keyboard itself is around as heavy as the Surface is. Other than that, Bluetooth is fast and responsive, all the gestures work perfectly, and the backlit keys are so nice for working in the dark!

I had the opportunity to participate as part of Brydge Beta Program tester to put this keyboard thru it’s paces. Let me tell you I was totally impressed. Purely from the design aspect, the keys, layout, touchpad sensitivity is exactly as responsive as Microsoft Type Cover! All gestures work flawlessly and turned my Surface Pro 7 into an ideal laptop while at the office or during the commute. When I need to use my Surface Pro as a tablet, it slides out easily and when I want to use it as a laptop, it holds my Surface Pro like it was a single unit! Kudo’s to the design and engineer team, you can’t get any better than this!

Have been very pleased with the Brydge for my Surface Pro 7. Battery life seems to be very good and the functionality seems top notch. The touchpad is a very good size and I believe it is slightly bigger then the type cover that was using. I have been using it non stop since I received it and have been very pleased. The only thing that I wish was that there was an option to have the keyboard top silver to match the rest of the device. I do appreciate the germ resistant coating on the typing surface, especially in this day and age it brings some piece of mind.

Brydge has outdone itself yet again. I didn’t think that my first keyboard could get even better, but I was wrong. This keyboard is sleek, light weight and solid. The touch pad is excellent and the new finish on the keyboard is smooth and sleek. This product is a must!!!
