There is no better keyboard for an iPad than a Brydge as I can touch-type or work like I’m used to on a Mac with all the keys regularly used and a few special ones too. I’ve had several versions since they are model-specific and I’ve upgraded my iPad over the years. Connects via bluetooth (or USB-C if you want to), has all the touch of a MacBook keyboard so feels, acts, and touches the same, and the battery/recharge lasts a very long time to keep me running. I have a MacMini running a network at home that I access from anywhere via remote access tools; using this keyboard is second nature and makes working with a remote connection or regular iPad apps seamless. It’s also sturdy and super protecting for the iPad screen. Truly my favorite accessory for my iPad which is echoed by others I’ve turned on to this keyboard.

Track pad is great. Construction is solid. Only issue is it seems to go to sleep to often while in use.

While I acknowledge this is a good quality accessory, there are some issues I believe bear mentioning. The first is the trackpad: While not a bad approximation of the trackpad that was on a MacBook Air, or a MacBook Pro, it misses the mark. The scrolling is not smooth, does not have the “momentum”, and the use of it to highlight, select, cut or copy text is not consistent. The keyboard shortcuts you could use with a MacBook are not present. Perhaps this can be rectified with a firmware update. I was hoping to rely more on the trackpad, but a lot of functions can still only be fulfilled by the touch screen, and/or the Apple Pencil, if you have one. The keyboard adds significant weight, it is not light, and it adds thickness, especially if you use the magnetic back. I chose not to use it. I understand the Macbook is a robust machine and would require a robust keyboard to support it, though. Unfortunately, though the iPad Pro comes in both Space Gray and Silver, it appears the keyboard is only available in Space gray, which is disappointing. Another disappointing issue is the shims in the hinges. They grip the iPad tightly, which is a good thing, but unless you are very careful with The technique you use to insert the iPad, you will run the risk of tearing the shims. This happened to both mine and my wife’s keyboard on the first day, before we learned the technique. You CAN send away for replacement shims, however, you’ll have to wait a week for them and limp along with a keyboard with damaged shims. Not good. Moreover, the keyboard, when paired with the iPad could close tighter. If it is vertically in the closed position (for instance in a luggage pocket), there is a small gap. There should be a magnetic closure between the top of the iPad screen and the bottom of the keyboard. Perhaps that could be an accessory they could introduce after. Perhaps you could accomplish this with a little magnetic tape on the bottom of the keyboard if it did not damage the iPad. However, this should have been an integral feature. In summary: I do recommend this, but with reservation in that the negative aspects are not insurmountable, but still of concern.

Love this addition to my iPad experience. All the “comforts” in a laptop without the size.

Keyboard works great. The back cover does not seem to be as strong as the regular keyboard. It keeps slipping and almost falling off.
Anissa Shanahan (verified owner) –
The keyboard fits perfectly like a glove A+++. However, the back easily moves around and often slips off. It’s not a firm hold.

This is the best keyboard company hands down. I am a frequent flier, loyal to this company because of their superb products. I recently bought another keyboard, this time for the IPAD 12.9 with a track-pad. This is an excellent performer. And even just as important, any questions that I have had, have been addressed with high professionalism and knowledge. Love, love, love this company’s products. Keep up the good work, guys.

It’s ok it feels premium at first but the more you touch the iPad and feel how premium that is the more the keyboard just feels second class to it. Functionality was under welding its good enough but mouse support is very unoptimized

nice features and functions. Keyboard does not charge properly though and tech support slow to respond

The pro+ is great. The hinges are much better than the regular pro keyboard. They are wider and my iPad seems to set deeper and does not slide around. Thank you Brydge and especially Sara.

The leather back doesn’t stay on very well. It lacks a place to store the pencil. The back lightning for the keyboard needs to have a brighter setting. Everything else works well.

This keyboard is an excellent productI just wish the magnet cover was stronger in that it falls off easily so most of the time I just leave it off. The lighted keyboard works fine and the trackpad is a nice touch.

The quality is good, robust build. The magnetic back is disappointing, not well secured and drops off easily when the device is opened or transferred in/out of a bag.

There isn’t a single product available in this accessory category that even comes close to the Pro + in comparison. Every possible thought imaginable has gone into the development of this keyboard which, at the outset, far exceeds any competitors product. A day doesn’t go by when I’m using this keyboard with my iPad that inevitably someone comments about it and asks how they can get one. The Pro+ is simply a beautiful piece of ingenuity that anyone who owns an iPad should have. I cannot say one single thing out the Pro+ that has disappointed me. I love everything about it so much that I consistently find myself using my iPad for all of my computing needs, which proves that Brydge has successfully gotten extremely close to closing the “gap” between a portable PC and a mobile device. Thank you for this wonderful product!

I’ve been using this keyboard for my 2018 12.9″ iPad Pro since it came out and overall, it’s been great! It is definitely of great quality and I have no complaints with the keyboard and typing experience. However, I do have some minor complaints. I tend to remove my iPad a lot especially when taking handwritten notes and drawing so it can be pretty tough to remove because of the rubber grip (which can actually a good thing). Putting it back on will require me to push down with a little bit of effort, but I guess there were times I didn’t realize that I didn’t push the iPad down on the hinges all the way, so the constant opening and closing has caused my tempered glass on the screen of my iPad to crack on the corners which is a bit worrisome as they begin extending more outward. I’ll be replacing my tempered glass soon. I also don’t find myself using the trackpad as much as I thought I would since I am unable to use the familiar finger swipes. As several reviews on YouTube have pointed out, when scrolling up and down, it doesn’t scroll as smoothly and responsively and it tends to go way past the top or bottom of the screen. Pressing down on the trackpad is also quite loud, especially when I’m working in a quiet office. In the end, I find myself reaching for my screen instead or using my Apple Magic Trackpad. My coworker has the Apple Magic Keyboard and I was able to try it for a day and it was an amazing experience. Sad to say, but I may end up selling this Brydge Keyboard Pro+ and end up getting myself the Apple version instead.

Very Solid and built for the IPad Pro. The keyboard is easy to use and good on the touch. The hinges are a good fit to place the iPad in. If you have a screen protector on your iPad it, this keyboard will definitely tear it and that’s why I have it 4 stars.

Broken key upon arrival. But other than that it works very good.

It is a great addition to my IPad Pro. The setup was super simple. It is solidly made, but it is much heavier than my previous keyboard, but it is worth it. It has basically turned my IPad Pro into a laptop.
