This has to be one of the best modern pendulum wall clocks. Bulova did a wonderful job replicating a concept that has its origin in Europe. What was especially surprising is that the Roman numeral IV is actually noted as IIII, of which exists in frescos (paintings) in Europe, specifically in Spain. The clock keeps good time and the pendulum gives it a lively look as it has no third hand. The chimes gives it an aire of elegance and there is a selection of 3 chimes or no chiming if desired. There is a volume to adjust the chimes. It may take a while to adjust to the correct volume so as not to disturb yourself while sleeping so I recommend going to the furthest part of the house or to each bedroom, with the TV muted, to gauge the accurate sound level. Chimes can be turned off between 10:00 pm and 5:00 am, but you may still hear it if the volume is set too high. The only thing I absolutely hate is the lettering REGULATOR on the glass that is on front off the pendulum. That writing looks cheezy and unnecessary. It us not needed because the wall clock is gorgeous. I strongly recommend this wall clock to add that something extra of charm. You will not be disappointed.

This was a replacement for a previous one with a pendulum that would stop after about and hour. Contacted Bulova to see if we were doing something wrong, but they said to return it to Home Depot for a replacement. Really liked the look of it but were hesitant to try another one. Home Depot was most accommodating and handled the return so well we decided to let them reorder for us.This one is working great and we are really enjoying it.

Set up instructions are poor. My clock was counting one hour ahead than it was set. Resetting it to correct the problem took a while. And I just ignored the instructions as it’s not helpful. Once it was set correctly, the clock works beautifully. I like that Westminster chimes.
